This issue occurs on very rare occasions and is caused by an unsupported video card. Generally, when you reload the challenge after the freezing occurs, your character dies. Make sure your computer has a NVIDIA 8800 GT video card, an ATI Radeon HD 3450 video card or better. You can also simply change the level every few times your character dies in the challenge to avoid freezing.
