If it appears you have lost save data or progress, or if you have purchased gems within the game and they are not showing up, be sure you are logged in to your Activision account. 
  1. Tap the Social/Friends menu button in the upper right corner (purple triangle).
  2. Tap the ACTIVATE logo on the left
  3. Choose to log in via ACTIVATE or Facebook
  4. Enter your username and password.
Please allow time for purchases to process through our servers and third-party services and then appear in-game. 

If this does not solve your issue, you may need to restart the game by force-closing the application. To force-close an application, follow the steps below depending on your device:

Pre-iOS 7
  1. Double-tap the Home button. This brings up the list of active processes on the device (a row of icons at the bottom of the screen).
  2. Press and hold down on the Skylanders Lost Islands icon.
  3. Tap the red delete circle in the upper left corner.
iOS 7 and up
  1. Double-tap the Home button. This brings up the list of active processes on the device (a row of icons at the bottom of the screen).
  2. Swipe left or right to find the Skylanders Lost Islands app.
  3. Swipe upward on the Skylanders Lost Islands app to force close it.
Android
  1. Tap the Options menu button.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Go to Applications.
  4. Select Manage applications.
  5. Select the Skylanders Lost Islands app.
  6. Select Force stop.
