The Nintendo Switch does not require a Portal of Power. Simply scan your Skylanders using the Joy-Con controller and they will register in the game as an Instant Skylander. You can then summon any of your Skylanders by going to the Change Skylanders menu.
You can remove a Skylander from your Instant Skylanders collection by going to the Change Skylanders menu. Pressing the X button on the Joy-Con controller will allow you to delete the Skylander, removing it from the collection. Remember, once removed, you won’t be able to use that Skylander again until you scan it to your Instant Skylanders section.
To save the progress on a toy, talk to Wendel the Mystical Mabu and scan your toy when asked.
Racing Mode is not available on the Nintendo Switch version.
The Nintendo Switch version of Skylanders Imaginators does not have online features.
