How to update an Xbox One controller
Some players might experience issues on Xbox One if the Xbox One controller is not running on the latest controller firmware. Follow these steps to ensure that your Xbox One controller is up to date.
- Sign in to Xbox Live with the controller plugged into the console.
- If you are prompted to update your Xbox One, allow the update to install.
- From the Xbox One home, select Settings.
- Select Devices and accessories.
- Select Xbox One Wireless Controller.
- Select Update, then select Continue and allow the update to run.
