No. A Skylander’s Elemental Strength depends on how many Skylanders of the same element are stored in the Skylanders Collection menu. A friend’s version of the game might have a different number of elemental Skylanders stored, resulting in a different Elemental Strength. When you bring your Skylander back to your version of the game, their Elemental Strength will return to what it was.
If you can’t access a character’s specific content, it means that you haven’t taken ownership of the Skylander. Go to the Skylander Management screens within the game and use the “ownership” controls to take official ownership of the toy.
Skylanders does not continually save your position as you progress through the game. The game only saves at the following points:
The game uses your console country setting to determine the language used. Make sure you have set your console to your home country in order to have the game play in your language.
Skylanders at max level cannot collect a level-up token. Use a Skylander that isn’t at maximum level.
If this happens, try taking your Skylanders toy off the Portal of Power and then replacing it. If your Skylander remains stuck or the gate does not open, you will have to restart the level.
This can happen if you tag a Villain just before talking to a statue to start a Skaletones Showdown Challenge. Talk to the statue again to start the challenge.
This issue occurs when you stay on the results screen of the Skaletones Showdown Challenge too long. The frame rate will return to normal in a few minutes, depending on how long you stayed on the results screen. To avoid this in the future, accept the challenge reward sooner or play with a different Skylander.
Using Hoot Loop’s “Now You Don’t” ability after completing a Skaletones Showdown Challenge can lead to a black screen. Restart the level to resolve this issue.
This can happen if the info menu is opened twice while exiting the Skaletones Showdown Challenge. The only way to resolve this is to load the level again.
This is because the controller lost its connection to the console when you were given your reward. Simply start another level to resolve the issue. Your controller might need new batteries or need to be recharged.
This is because you placed a Trap in the Portal when selecting the difficulty of the Skaletones Showdown Challenge. Simply remove the Trap to resolve the issue. Replace the Trap after completing the challenge.
Try switching Skylanders or changing to a Villain a few times to resolve this problem. If these steps do not work, you’ll need to restart the level.
This is by design. These sub-menus are not available during a Villain Quest. If you need to change the audio settings, you’ll need to leave the Quest.
This problem can occur if you start a Push Block Puzzle, leave it to go to another part of the level, and then come back. You’ll need to restart the puzzle to be able to complete it.
This can happen if you remove the Hidden Treasure Chest Magic Item from the Portal after finding a Treasure. You’ll need to restart the level to resolve this issue.
If this occurs, you will have to reboot your console. This can be avoided by not collecting a Soul Gem and Hat at the same time while playing in Co-op Mode.
This can be resolved by simply performing Kaos’ primary attack.
This happens when the Expansion is placed on the Portal while another level is loading. Remove and replace your Skylander on the Portal to resolve the issue.
This can happen if the Portal is disconnected and reconnected during the capture sequence. You’ll need to restart the level to be able to capture the Villain.
If this happens, you’ll need to restart the level.
This is by design. Only Trap Master Skylanders of the gate’s element can open Elemental gates in Skylanders Trap Team.
This can occur if the Portal is placed close to magnetic objects or other electronic devices. Make sure your Portal is at least a few feet away from these kinds of devices items.
This problem can occur if your Skylander was caught by a Tornado while he was near the border of the level. It only occurs with large Skylanders, such as Krypt King, Thunderbolt, or Gusto. You’ll need to start from the 80th wave to be able to collect the Hat box. You can avoid this by playing with a smaller Skylander.
This is due to the amount of enemies and effects visible on screen at the same time. Nothing can be done to completely remove the problem, but playing solo instead of Co-op, defeating enemies as they appear instead of letting them build up, and not using Magic Items can help keep the frame rate normal.
This is a typo. You are only supposed to receive 7,500 gold and a Hat when the challenge is completed.
This is by design. The Piggy Bank Magic Item is not supported in Arena Mode.
Sprocket’s Turrets do not work in those two Arena Challenges.
This is by design. Leave the Arena if you need to open this menu.
This can occur if you play Kaos Doom Mode for long periods of time. We suggest returning to the Main Menu each time you complete 10 waves. Note that even if the visual effects and enemies are invisible, they can still deal and receive damage.
If this happens, you will need to reboot your console. This can be avoided by destroying the “beds” as fast as possible.
This can happen when using the Cocoon Spinner ability with the experimental upgrade for more than 10 minutes. especially in areas that have a lot of enemies spawning. You can avoid this by using a different Skylander, or by varying your attacks when using Spy Rise.
This can occur if you added and removed multiple Skylanders from the Portal before starting the Arena challenge. Restart the challenge and place Skylanders on the Portal one at a time. Be sure to confirm the choice before placing another toy on the Portal.
You’ll need to restart the level to be able to progress again. To avoid this issue in the future, don’t place a Trap in the Portal while your Skylander is falling.
Using Chill Bill’s jetpack on moving platforms can cause the screen to turn black. You’ll need to start another level to resolve the problem. Be careful not to use Chill Bill’s jetpack on moving platforms in the future.
This occurs when removing a tagged-in Villain’s trap from the Portal before entering a Skystones game. Simply remove the Skylander from the Portal and put it back on.
This is caused when Player 2 launches the Steam Lock puzzle. Only the prompts for the first controller will appear, so if Player 2 has a Wii U gamepad and Player 1 a classic controller, the prompts appearing will be for Player 1. To avoid this, always have Player 1 launch a Steam Lock puzzle.
This can occur if you accidentally attack the boulder with Grave Clobber. You’ll need to restart the level.
While it is possible to use Buzzer Beak’s secondary ability to bypass a Steam Vent, doing so results in a progression break. You’ll need to restart the level and complete the puzzle normally.
If you continue to fire on the Trolls for an extended period of time (about 7 minutes), the game might crash. If this happens, you will need to restart the game. To avoid the crash, target and destroy the cannons.
Using Freeze Blade’s Icy Chakram ability in the areas with bubbles will cause a drop in the frame rate. Use another ability or a different Skylander in these areas to avoid the problem.
You’ll need to restart the level to resolve the issue. Make sure you defeat all enemies and watch the cutscene before collecting the Story Scroll.
In the Spoiled Sanctum area, you won’t be able to grab the contents of the chest that spawns in the level, even if the prompt to open the chest is present. Simply replay the level and place the Hidden Treasure item on the Portal so that the spawn location changes. You should then be able to collect the contents of the chest.
This problem occurs when you talk with Da Pinchy at the same time as your friend enters the nearby Earth Elemental Gate. Restart the level and perform one action at a time to avoid this issue.
Either changing Skylanders or restarting the level through the pause menu can resolve this issue.
This occurs when opening the Stats menu right after the cutscene with Grabbers. You’ll need to restart the level to resolve the problem.
The occurs when using Blastermind’s Levitation power on the Raven Nears in the Middle Defense section. You can backtrack in the level to find the enemies and defeat them.
You’ll need to restart the level to resolve this issue. Avoid throwing enemies off the platforms using Blastermind’s Remote Control ability at this location.
This can occur if your Skylander attacks Hawkmongus from the edge of the platform. Get into the fight a little farther from the edges to avoid it. Hawkmongus might return to the platform after a few minutes, but if he doesn’t, you’ll need to restart the level./p>
This can be resolved by removing and then replacing the stuck character on the Portal of Power.
