Outdated Intel 13th and 14th Generation Processor Error

What to do if you receive an error message about an outdated Intel processor

If you were linked to this article in Call of Duty®, the game detected that your PC is using an Intel 13th or 14th generation processor that may encounter stability issues. It is recommended that you update the BIOS to the latest version with Intel's microcode 0X12F or later.

Please refer to Intel’s How to Update BIOS article for more information and guidance.

Important! If you’re not familiar with accessing and updating your UEFI/BIOS, you should reach out to your hardware manufacturer’s customer support or a professional for assistance.

We also strongly recommend reviewing your PC and motherboard manufacturer’s manuals and support resources before updating your UEFI/BIOS. Activision is not responsible for changes made to your UEFI/BIOS settings.

Will this fix my crashing issues?

For players using an Intel 13th or 14th generation processor, updating your BIOS can help address ongoing crashing problems, but it will not fix these issues if your processor is showing symptoms of instability. In this case, we recommend reaching out to Intel’s customer support for help diagnosing issues your processor may have.
