Call of Duty: Mobile Multiplayer
An overview of Multiplayer gameplay in Call of Duty: Mobile
1. What game modes can I play in Multiplayer?
The following core Multiplayer game modes are available in Call of Duty: Mobile:
- Frontline – Kill players on the opposing team. You always spawn at your base. The first team to reach the score limit wins.
- Team Deathmatch – Similar to Frontline, in that the goal is to kill opposing players, and the first team to reach the score limit wins. However, the spawn points can change throughout the match.
- Domination (unlocks at Level 5) – Capture and defend three control points on the map. Teams switch sides, and the control points become neutral again when one team scores 100 points. First team to 200 points wins the match.
- Search & Destroy (unlocks at Level 5) – Defend and destroy the objective. No respawning.
If you're new to Call of Duty or just want to get in some practice, choose the Practice vs. AI game mode. Here, you can hone your skills against AI opponents and still earn XP, but at a 90% reduced rate.
2. How do I set up and adjust my Loadouts?
You can access your Multiplayer loadouts from either the home screen or the Multiplayer lobby by tapping the Loadout button. From there, tap the spaces within your Loadout to change your Soldier, Operator Skill, Primary and Secondary Weapons, Optics and Attachments, Perks, or Lethal and Tactical Equipment.
Not all of these Loadout slots and items within them will be available to you right away. However, as you progress through matches and level up, you’ll unlock more items. Each slot’s unlock level is indicated by a number next to the yellow star.
Leveling up also unlocks new customizable Loadout slots.
Loadouts can be renamed by tapping the paper and pencil icon next to the existing Loadout name (e.g. Loadout 1) and entering a new name.
After unlocking multiple Loadouts, you can set your favorite Loadout as your default by tapping the Default button at the bottom of the Loadout’s screen.
3. What are Operator Skills?
Operator Skills are special weapons or abilities you can assign to a Loadout. When equipped and ready to use in game, Operator Skills give you powerful devices or skills you can employ for a short time to help turn the tide of a match.
The Operator Skills slot unlocks at Level 3 with plenty of intense or tactical Operator Skills unlocking as you progress and level up.
- Purifier – Flamethrower that blasts a stream of scorching fire within a close range.
- War Machine – Fully automatic grenade launcher with devastating payload.
- Scythe – a handheld minigun that slowly increases accuracy over time.
- Transform Shield – Places a deformable shield to protect you and your teammates.
- Tempest – Hold the fire button to build up power and send a bolt of lightning at a target. Lightning chains to hit up to nine nearby enemies.
4. How do I set my Scorestreaks?
In the Multiplayer lobby, tap Scorestreaks on the left-hand side of the screen. From there, you can change which Scorestreak options you want to carry with you into battle.
You’ll unlock Scorestreaks as you progress through matches and level up, and each Scorestreak’s unlock level is indicated by a number next to the yellow star.
5. How do I start a match?
Before starting a match, you will need to select a game mode:
- Tap Multiplayer on the main screen.
- Tap Match in the upper left corner.
- Tap the white box in the bottom right corner to open the game mode picklist.
- Select your desired game mode.
- Below the game mode, you can also select a specific map to play.
Once your game mode is selected, you can tap the buttons in the lower left corner to manage your Scorestreaks and Loadout, or you can tap Start in the lower right corner to begin the match.
You can also use the Invite Friends menu in the upper right corner to invite other players from your Friend List.
