Please note that the following FAQ addresses issues specific to the physical Skylanders toys.
Yes. In order to reset a toy back to level one, follow these steps:
This message can sometimes appear when another Skylander toy is placed near the Portal of Power (not directly on it). Simply clear the area around your Portal of Power of all Skylander toys and restart the game.
This can also occur if the Portal is close to magnetic objects or electronic devices. Make sure it is at least a few feet away from these kinds of objects.
If this does not fix the issue, you can reset your toy back to level one by following these steps:
Skylanders SuperChargers is unable to recover a corrupted Trap. It can however be recovered in Skylanders Trap Team.
To find out how to recover a corrupted Trap, check out the Skylanders Trap Team Characters and Magic Items FAQ.
Talking to Pandergast while the Racing Pack Trophy is on the Portal fixes the toy. Pandergast is located on the left path when you are facing the center of the Academy.
If this does not fix the issue with the Racing Pack Trophy, and the toy is still under warranty, you can request a replacement toy.
No. The new Skylanders SuperChargers characters and their associated vehicles will not work in any previous Skylanders game. All older Skylanders will, however, work in Skylanders SuperChargers.
No. The level cap in Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventures is ten and it is 15 in Skylanders: Giants. A level 20 Skylander used in one of those games will be dropped to the level cap. Their levels will be returned when they return to Skylanders SuperChargers.
The game doesn’t save to the toy constantly. Removing the toy quickly after collecting something may prevent the game from properly saving on the toy. After collecting treasures or experience orbs, wait about 30 seconds before removing the toy from the Portal to prevent any loss.
There is a rare issue that can occur after playing for extended periods of time or after changing the Skylander on the Portal numerous times which causes the Portal to stop saving the information on the Skylander. Unplugging and re-plugging the Portal fixes the issue, but you’ll need to earn the experience and money again.
The number of Skylanders of the same element inside the Skylander Collection menu influences the elemental strength stat. If the same number of toys is unlocked on both consoles, the elemental strength will be the same.
No, this is working as intended. In Skylanders SuperChargers, Skylanders are not healed when they are in elemental areas that match their own element.
This happens when you start the game with a corrupted vehicle already on the portal. Simply restart the game with another vehicle on the portal, then switch to the corrupted vehicle and the option to recover it will be present.
