Skylanders SuperChargers and Skylanders SuperChargers Racing for the Wii and 3DS introduce new Skylanders and vehicles into the world of Skylanders. That doesn't mean all of your older Skylanders will be left out of the fun, though. All Skylanders games are backwards compatible. This means that older figures are all supported in new games.
The following chart lists the character compatibility for Skylanders SuperChargers Racing for the Wii and 3DS and Skylanders SuperChargers for other systems:

Question: Is there a difference between using new Skylanders SuperChargers figures and older Skylanders in Skylanders SuperChargers Racing?
Answer: Yes. Any older Skylander can join in the fun and race vehicles. Only SuperCharger characters can provide a stat boost to a vehicle and equip vehicle mods though, and only a SuperCharger driving his or her own unique vehicle can go into “Supercharge” mode.
