The Battle Pass returns to a single track featuring 100 tiers. By simply playing Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer, DMZ, or Warzone, the XP you earn goes toward unlocking rewards in a set order each season.

Battle Pass Tier Skip Tokens allow you to access higher level rewards in the Battle Pass, unlocking content ahead of the next tier on the track. Players who purchase the Battle Pass Bundle can use Tier Skip Tokens to access any of the 10 unlocked tiers ahead of their current position, while BlackCell owners can unlock rewards from up to 20 tiers ahead. Spending a Battle Pass Tier Skip Token on a higher tier reward will not change your in-progress position on the Battle Pass.

If you purchase a premium Battle Pass offering, you are guaranteed to unlock the first 50 tiers of the Battle Pass. During the season, one tier is automatically unlocked each day until day 50 in the season.

Please note: Guaranteed rewards do not unlock if you are ahead of the Battle Pass progression.

For example:

• If it’s day 15 of the season, you’ve already unlocked 14 tiers, and you do not play – tier 15 will automatically unlock.
• If it’s day 15 of the season, you’ve already unlocked 15 or more tiers, and you do not play – the next tier does not automatically unlock.

Guaranteed progression also works if you choose to purchase a premium Battle Pass during a season.

For example:

• If you purchase a premium Battle Pass on day 15 of a season, you will automatically unlock rewards from the first 14 tiers. 

Players with a premium Battle Pass offering and complete all tiers within a season earn Battle Pass Completion Rewards.

Details about Battle Pass Completion will be announced during the season.

In addition, Bonus Rewards will be made available later in the season, allowing you to progress and unlock a special set of additional game rewards.

Yes. In addition to the rewards you unlock with BlackCell, you will instantly receive the 1,100 COD Points you spent on your original Battle Pass purchase from that season when you upgrade.

No. With the free Battle Pass, you progress through tiers, claiming the free rewards along the way. If you upgrade to a premium Battle Pass or BlackCell, you’ll be entitled to claim all previous rewards up to your current tier.

Yes. Excluding COD Points, Battle Pass progress and rewards you unlock are tied to your Activision account. Therefore, Battle Pass progress and rewards will be available on all platforms as long as you play on the same linked Activision account where you originally earned the progress and rewards.

Please note: COD Points you earn through the Battle Pass can only be spent on the platform you are playing on when you unlock the COD Points.

At the end of each season, any unspent Battle Pass Tier Skip Tokens you have earned or purchased will be automatically spent on remaining Battle Pass rewards starting with the lowest unclaimed reward. When the next season begins, you will be presented with an overview of the rewards that were unlocked.

The free Battle Pass is available to all players and includes limited rewards. However, upgrading to a premium Battle Pass offering is an optional addition to enhance your Call of Duty experience.
