Prototype 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One includes the Colossal Mayhem and Excessive Force DLC on the game disc. There is no code redemption or separate download required to access this content.
Please note: RADNET is no longer a supported feature in Prototype 2.
1. How do I save my game?
The game uses a checkpoint system that auto-saves your progress as you play. You can also manually save a game during gameplay by doing the following:
- Open the PAUSE menu in-game.
- Select SAVE.
- Create a new save slot or overwrite an existing save.
2. How do I continue my saved game?
After launching the game, select CONTINUE from the Main Menu to resume playing the game from your last play session.
You can load a saved game by doing the following:
- Open the PAUSE menu in-game.
- Select LOAD.
- Select a saved game file you wish to play.
3. How can I recover a corrupted save?
If your saved game has become corrupt, you will need to delete the save game file from the console system menu and revert to an older saved game file. If you do not have an older save, or the game only has one save, then you must delete the save and start over.
Please note: Activision cannot guarantee functionality on systems using 3rd party hardware, including but not exclusive to Memory Cards, controllers, chips, and cables.
4. NEW GAME + isn't carrying over all my powers and upgrades from my previous playthrough. How can I fix this?
After completing the final mission and finishing the game, NEW GAME + allows you to begin a new game while retaining all of your character progression.
The game will always use the latest save file for NEW GAME +. Follow these steps to start a new game with your end-game character progression:
- Load the save file where you completed the final mission and save the game again.
- Start a NEW GAME +. The new game will use the character progression from this save file.
5. I started a mission, and now I can’t use my powers. What should I do?
To fix this issue, you will need to open the Power Wheel and reassign the powers you want to use.
6. What’s included in the Colossal Mayhem DLC?
Initially available as a separate DLC pack, Colossal Mayhem is included in Prototype 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is no code redemption or separate download required to access this content.
Colossal Mayhem includes the following content:
- Thermobaric Boomstick weapon - Creates a large thermobaric explosion.
- Three playable skins:
- Heller Test Subject
- Infected Heller (Heller’s dialogue is replaced with growls)
- Infantry Heller
- Three Force Multiplier Powers:
- Warp Vortex - Grab an object, throw it, and all other objects nearby will gravitate towards it, then spew outwards.
- Anti-Gravity Field - Player interaction causes localized microgravity for affected objects (they start to float in the air).
- Airtime - Press a button while gliding to gain additional lift and allow Heller to glide forever.
7. What’s included in the Excessive Force DLC?
Initially available as a separate DLC pack, Excessive Force is included in Prototype 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is no code redemption or separate download required to access this content.
Excessive Force includes the following content:
- Viral Infector Grenade Launcher weapon - Creates a toxic cloud that infects all those near the explosion (turns humans into infected).
- Three playable skins:
- Armored Heller
- Agile Armor Alex Mercer
- Zombie Mercer (Heller’s dialogue is replaced with growls)
- Three Force Multiplier Powers:
- Shockwave - Jumping sends lighter objects around Heller sailing into the air.
- Chaos - Turns the entire world into an infected warzone (this item is not a power).
- Medusa’s Wrath - Instantly kill enemies with an eyeball laser.
