Yes. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare supports two-player split-screen online play in either Multiplayer or Zombies game modes.

Campaign-specific Questions

No. The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Campaign is designed for single player only.

No. The appearance and gender of the main character—Captain Nick Reyes—cannot be customized.

Yes. The main character’s Jackal can be customized by selecting the Jackal Loadout when in the Armory/Loadout Selection screen. Unlock and equip various Jackal Decals and Jackal Upgrades by completing operations, finding SDF Skelter prototypes, killing all the most wanted targets, scanning all weapons, fully upgrading all equipment, and completing the game in various difficulties.

The six difficulty levels in the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Campaign are Recruit, Regular, Hardened, Veteran, Specialist, and #YOLO.

Completing the Campaign in any difficulty unlocks the Specialist difficulty level, and completing the Campaign in Specialist difficulty unlocks the #YOLO difficulty level.

The Specialist difficulty is meant to be as realistic as possible in terms of the damage inflicted on you and your enemies. For example, you will lose your helmet if it is destroyed by enemy fire, causing you to instantly die while in space or from a single headshot. You will also lose the ability to control your arms if you are damaged by an enemy, making aiming down sights incredibly difficult while losing the ability to use Tactical and Lethal equipment. However, you can heal yourself by using nano-shots and helmets located throughout the Campaign levels.

The #YOLO difficulty is very similar to Specialist difficulty, with the key difference being that if you die, you will have to start the entire Campaign over.

Checkpoint saves will sometimes be delayed if you are in imminent danger. This can include situations where hostiles are aware of your presence, or your health is very low. In these situations, retreating a bit to regain health and eliminating any hostiles that chase after you will often allow a checkpoint to be created.

Once a Suit Upgrade or Equipment Upgrade has been earned, you will not need to collect or achieve the Upgrade again even if a checkpoint had not been reached. The game will remember that you found the Equipment Upgrade or earned the Suit Upgrade and will save this information independently.

Yes. The progress you make during a natural progression will be overwritten if you decide you would like to play a different mission. If you replay a previous mission, you will lose your current natural progression saves to the newest checkpoint. Resume Game will take you to the latest checkpoint saved, but you will still have all of your earned Suit Upgrades, Equipment Upgrades, weapons scanned, Most Wanted Killed, and Achievements/Trophies. Additionally, you will still have access to the latest mission reached when viewing the Campaign Mission Select menu.

Before playing any mission, you will be loaded into Retribution, where you can perform several different actions and interact with many different stations.

Each station provides information regarding your character, Class Editing, and progression within the Campaign.

Suit Upgrades are perks you earn during Campaign progression. There are eleven Suit Upgrades to earn after completing specific levels/missions, each one designed to assist the player through campaign.

Once you have earned any of the eleven Suit Upgrade perks, they are automatically equipped to your character. The perks will remain with your character and cannot be removed.

Perks unlock automatically by completing Campaign missions. Weapons are earned by picking up and scanning new weapons that you have never used before. You will automatically scan new weapons, which will then be present in the armory in Retribution. Lethal and Tactical equipment is unlocked by progressing through the Campaign.

You cannot change Loadouts or Jackal Loadouts once a mission has started. You will need to select your preferred Loadout before a mission starts in the Armory, located in Retribution.
