Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Installation and Setup

Essentials for installing and playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The following guide provides instructions for installing Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6. If you run into any issues during the installation process, please refer to the troubleshooting tips below.

Black Ops 6 Pre-Load

Pre-loading for Black Ops 6 begins for all platforms on Monday, October 21 at 9AM PT. Players who have pre-ordered the game or subscribe to select Game Pass plans can download Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies so they’re ready to go when Black Ops 6 officially releases on October 25.

Pre-load for players with Call of Duty already installed

If you pre-ordered Black Ops 6 and already have Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III, Call of Duty®: Warzone™, or Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II installed, you will receive the Black Ops 6 pre-load as an automatic update to their existing install, similar to previous Call of Duty updates.

Pre-load for players without Call of Duty installed

If you pre-ordered Black Ops 6, but don’t already have Modern Warfare III, Warzone, or Modern Warfare II installed, you can initiate the Black Ops 6 pre-load from your platform storefront when pre-loading begins.
