1. I seem to be stuck and can’t move my character. How can I fix this?If you reach a point in the game where you are truly stuck and cannot move or free your character at all, you will need to restart the checkpoint. Select "Restart Checkpoint" from the Pause menu.
2. I seem to have fallen into a map hole and there is no way out. What can I do?If your character falls through a hole in the map, you will need to restart the checkpoint. Select "Restart Checkpoint" from the Pause menu.
3. The enemies are stuck and nothing happens to allow me to move forward. How can I progress?If you get to a point in the game where the enemies are stuck or not attacking, you will need to restart the checkpoint. Select "Restart Checkpoint" from the Pause menu. If this does not work, restart the console and load your most recently saved checkpoint.
4. I have been trying to get all the headlines (collectibles) but have been unable to get “Headline XYZ”. Where can I find the collectible I am missing?The Daily Bugle Headlines collectibles are only available on the Nintendo DS version of The Amazing Spider-Man. The headlines are obtained by smashing crates, and are located in random locations in random levels throughout the game. If you're missing a headline, keep replaying levels and smashing crates and you will eventually find the headline you are missing.
5. I have a promotional code from GameStop. Where and how do I use this code?You can redeem this promotional code online through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace or the PlayStation Network. This code unlocks the Rhino Challenge, a timed event where you play as Rhino and try to destroy as much of the city as possible.
6. I have a promotional code from Best Buy. Where and how do I use this code?You can redeem this promotional code online through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace or the PlayStation Network. This code unlocks mini games you can play on Spidey's cell phone.
7. I have a promotional code from Amazon. Where and how do I use this code?You can redeem this promotional code online through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace or the PlayStation Network. This code unlocks the Stan Lee Adventure Pack, allowing you to play a mini game as Stan Lee in a race across the city.
8. I have a promotional code from Carl's Jr./Hardee's. Where and how do I use this code?This is a PlayStation 3-exclusive promotional code and can be redeemed online through the PlayStation Network. This code unlocks the Vigilante Suit.
9. How do I save my game?The Amazing Spider-Man uses an autosave system, automatically saving your current progress when you reach certain checkpoints throughout the game. When a checkpoint is reached, autosave will trigger and the Autosave Icon will appear in the bottom left corner of your screen. Autosave will overwrite older checkpoints with the newest checkpoints.

11. What is Web Rush and how can I use it?Web Rush allows you to slow down time in order to make situational choices throughout the game. Once Web Rush is activated, color-coded Web Rush indicators will appear throughout the screen. Highlight an indicator and the associated Web Rush action will be performed.
The Web Rush indicators are:
- Yellow - denotes a location you can Web Rush to
- Purple - indicates an enemy who can be taken down with stealth Web Rush
- Red - shows that a Web Rush attack can be performed
- Blue - allows you to Web Rush to an interactive object in a level
- Green - activates a challenge in Manhattan
Note: Web Rush is not available on the NDS version of The Amazing Spider-Man
12. Why can't I use the Cell Phone Menu?The Cell Phone Menu is only available in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.
13. Can I use the classic controller on Wii?Yes. Either the classic controller or the Wii Remote and Nunchuk can be used to play The Amazing Spider-Man.
14. Why can't I play the Vigilante mode?Vigilante mode is a strategy/management game that is only available in the Nintendo 3DS version of the game.
15. Do I need PlayStation Move in order to play?No. The Amazing Spider-Man is compatible with PlayStation Move, but it is not required to play the game.
16. Why can't I play any side missions?The side missions are part of the free-roaming feature in The Amazing Spider-Man, which is only playable in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. Although free-roaming is absent from the Wii and 3DS versions of the game, all of the interior levels are the same.
