A breakdown of the different editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, including pre-order incentives, Game Pass details, and cross-gen options for consoles

Vault Editions owners: Looking for your Vault Edition GobbleGums? Enter the Loadout menu in Zombies and select Edit Pack. There, you will find Epic, Legendary, and Ultra GobbleGums included in the GobbleGum Pack.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 1990s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops across a cinematic single-player Campaign, a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, and with the epic return of Round-Based Zombies.

Launching worldwide on October 25, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available for pre-order now on Xbox (Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One), PlayStation (PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4), and PC through Microsoft Store, Battle.net, and Steam, and coming to Game Pass on Xbox consoles and PC (Microsoft Store only) at launch. Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Console players can download and pre-install COD HQ and Call of Duty®: Warzone™.

 

Pre-Order Bonuses

Woods Operator Pack ‡ (digital editions)

 

Players who pre-order a digital edition of Black Ops 6 receive the Woods Operator Pack for use in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III, Call of Duty®: Warzone™, and Call of Duty®: Warzone™ Mobile. Also available in Black Ops 6 at launch.

By pre-ordering, you instantly receive the Classic Woods Operator Skin as part of the Woods Operator Pack. The pack also includes access to unlock the Zombie Woods and Numbers Woods Operator Skins, which can be unlocked by completing exclusive Challenge Events in Modern Warfare® III or Warzone™.

Warzone™ Mobile players: To unlock the Woods Operator Pack in Warzone Mobile, you will need to log in to Modern Warfare III or Warzone on the platform where you pre-ordered with the same linked account you use to play Warzone Mobile.

Game Pass subscribers: To access the Woods Operator Pack, Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Standard subscribers must log in to Modern Warfare III or Warzone on the platform where they are an active Game Pass subscriber at some point before October 25, 2024, and continue maintaining an active Game Pass subscription to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Standard.

 

Reflect 115 Camo Pack ‡ (digital editions)

 

Players who pre-order a digital edition of Black Ops 6 receive the Reflect 115 Camo Pack for use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

By pre-ordering, you instantly receive the Reflect 115 Camo that can be applied to all Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile weapons where camos can be used. The pack also includes three Legendary Aether Tools, three Flawless Aetherium Crystals, and three Ray Gun Weapon Cases for use in Modern Warfare Zombies.

Warzone Mobile players: To unlock the Reflect 115 Camo Pack in Warzone Mobile, you will need to log in to Modern Warfare III or Warzone on the platform where you pre-ordered with the same linked account you use to play Warzone Mobile.

Game Pass subscribers: To unlock the Reflect 115 Camo Pack, players will need to log in to Modern Warfare III or Warzone on the platform where they are an active subscriber to an eligible Game Pass plan at some point before October 25, 2024, and continue maintaining an active Game Pass subscription.

Vault Edition

 

Available on all platforms or as an upgrade option for Game Pass subscribers and players who have already pre-ordered (see more below), the digital-only Vault Edition offers the most content of any version of Black Ops 6.

In addition to the base game – the Digital Cross-Gen version on consoles and the Standard Edition on PC – and its incentives (Open Beta Early Access and the Woods Operator Pack), the Vault Edition includes the following bonus content.

Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack

 

Includes four skins for Multiplayer Operators:

  • Adler – Umbra Skin (Rogue Black Ops)
  • Park – Oblivion Skin (Rogue Black Ops)
  • Brutus – Warden of Alcatraz Skin (Zombies)
  • Klaus – Reborn Skin (Zombies)

The Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack will be available for use in the Black Ops 6 Open Beta, then later in Black Ops 6 as well as Warzone and Warzone Mobile at launch.

 

Mastercraft Weapon Collection

 

Playable in the Black Ops 6 Open Beta and available again in Black Ops 6 as well as Warzone and Warzone Mobile at launch, the Mastercraft Weapon Collection includes unique animated variants for the following weapons:

  • Jackal PDW (SMG) - Scourge
  • LR 7.62 (Sniper Rifle) - Brainstorm
  • Marine SP (Shotgun) - Unrepentant
  • AMES 85 (Assault Rifle) - Plague Doctor
  • Combat Knife (Melee) - Mind’s Eye

 

BlackCell Battle Pass Bundle §

 

Get access to the Black Ops 6 Season 1 BlackCell offering, which instantly unlocks exclusive BlackCell content, 1,100 COD Points, and 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips. BlackCell also comes with the full Battle Pass, which grants access to over 100 unlockable rewards, including Weapon Blueprints and Operator Skins with BlackCell variants, COD Points, XP Tokens, cosmetic items, and more.

 

GobbleGum Pack

 

Hit the ground running in Zombies with GobbleGums, enhancing your fight against the undead with a variety of consumables that grant distinctive in-game bonuses or effects. Stay tuned for more details about the Vault Edition GobbleGum Pack.

 

Digital Cross-Gen Editions for Consoles

Available on Xbox and PlayStation, Digital Cross-Gen Editions include the base game playable on both console generations within the same console family (Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, or PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4). Digital Cross-Gen Editions give players the flexibility to play on multiple consoles or take advantage of potential upgrade options.

Please note: When installing the game on PlayStation 5, be sure to install that console’s version of the game, as both versions may be available for download in the Cross-Gen Bundle.

Game Pass Options

Players with Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass Console subscriptions will have access to the complete Black Ops 6 game.

For Game Pass Console subscribers, a Game Pass Core subscription is required to access online game modes (Multiplayer and Zombies).

Subscriptions must be active in order to play.

 

PC Standard Edition

The PC Standard Edition is only available digitally and can be pre-purchased through Microsoft Store, Battle.net, or Steam.

Game Pass Option

PC players can optionally subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC to play Black Ops 6. Xbox App with access to the Microsoft Store required. The Game Pass PC version of Black Ops 6 cannot be played through Battle.net.

Subscriptions must be active in order to play.

 

Physical Editions on Consoles

Physical Editions of Black Ops 6 can be pre-ordered for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. All Physical Editions on consoles include Early Access to the Black Ops 6 Open Beta when pre-ordered at participating retailers.

  • Xbox Cross-Gen Bundle: Includes a cross-gen version of Black Ops 6 playable on Xbox Series X and Xbox One.
  • PlayStation 5: Includes Black Ops 6, playable on PlayStation 5 only. The physical edition on PlayStation 5 does not include cross-gen.
  • PlayStation 4 Cross-Gen Bundle: Includes a cross-gen version of Black Ops 6 playable on PlayStation 4 and includes a code for a digital version of the game on PlayStation 5.
    • Please note: The game disc will be required to play the PlayStation 5 version.

Please note: Physical editions of the game will not operate on Xbox Series S or a digital-only PlayStation 5.

 

Upgrade to the Vault Edition

If you've pre-ordered a digital edition of Black Ops 6 and want to upgrade to the Vault Edition, you can do so through the Call of Duty in-game store or your platform’s store. The Vault Edition upgrade will be available as a separate purchase for $30 (Suggested Retail Price) or your regional equivalent.

Please note: Physical editions of Black Ops 6 cannot be upgraded to the Vault Edition.

 

Vault Edition Upgrade on Game Pass

With Black Ops 6 coming to Game Pass on Xbox consoles and PC Microsoft Store, you will have the option to purchase a Vault Edition upgrade that includes all the bonus content available in the Vault Edition offering.

Please note: An active Game Pass subscription (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console with Game Pass Core) is still required to access the base game.

Is an internet connection required to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

To deliver the highest-quality visuals while also reducing the game’s overall storage space on your hard drive, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will use texture streaming across all game modes. This means you’ll need a continuous internet connection to play any game mode, including Campaign. If you’re on a console, Campaign can be played without a premium subscription service such as Game Pass Core or PlayStation Plus.

Does Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 support split-screen gameplay?

Split-screen gameplay (two players sharing a screen) for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. To ensure performance integrity, split-screen gameplay will not be supported on Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

Will there be Early Access to the Campaign?

The team is fully focused on October 25th. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig in to any modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment October 25th. As such, there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.

 

Banned Account Restrictions

Activision ID accounts permanently banned from previous Call of Duty titles starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty console and PC titles released thereafter as well as Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile may not be eligible to play Black Ops 6, per the existing Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy.

Battle.net accounts that have been permanently banned from Modern Warfare III, Modern Warfare II, or Warzone will not be eligible to purchase Black Ops 6 from the Blizzard Digital Store. Players may have the ability to purchase Black Ops 6 digitally on Xbox and PlayStation, as well as on Microsoft Store and Steam; however, permanently banned accounts will not be eligible to play online modes in Black Ops 6 in those versions.

 

 

‡ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III / Call of Duty: Warzone on pre-order platform required to redeem Woods Operator Pack and Reflect 115 Camo Pack. Sold/downloaded separately. Must be redeemed by October 25, 2025.
