Using COD Points in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

How to obtain and spend COD Points in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

COD Points are the in-game currency used in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to obtain new content, including the Battle Pass. To get COD Points, visit the Store menu in the game, then select Franchise Store. You can also purchase COD Points from your first-party platform store.

While you can only spend COD Points on the platform on which they were purchased, the items you purchase with COD Points are shared across all linked platforms. Also, COD Points you purchase within Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War can be spent within Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

1. What can I purchase with COD Points?

COD Points are the primary way to acquire the Battle Pass, the seasonal tiered reward system. You can also use COD Points in the in-game Store to buy Bundles that can include Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Emblems, Weapon Charms, and more.

2. Can I use COD Points to purchase individual items?

No. Items can only be purchased as part of Bundles.

3. Can I see the item I’m purchasing before I buy it?

Yes. With each Bundle, you can preview any item by hovering over it and hitting the designated Preview command found at the bottom of your screen.

4. Are the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Stores the same?

No. There will be a small number of items available in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Store that may only be used within that game.

All items purchased through the Warzone Store are shared between Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Warzone. However, items purchased within the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Store can be used in Warzone but cannot be used in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Similarly, items purchased in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Store can be used in Warzone but cannot be used in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Please note: You can only spend COD Points on the platform on which they were purchased, but items you purchase with COD Points are shared across all linked platforms.

5. How many COD Points can be purchased?

There is no limit to the number of COD Points you can purchase.

6. If I upgrade within a console family (Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S, or PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5), will my COD Points balance carry over?

Yes. As long as you're logged in to the same Activision account, once you launch Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on a new console within the same console family your COD Points will be available to use.

7. If I upgrade within a console family (Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S, or PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5), will my purchased content carry over?

Game progress and purchased or earned content in Call of Duty games with crossplay and cross-progression—Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare—are stored on your Activision account. If you choose to upgrade to a new platform or switch to a new console family, your game progress and purchased or earned content will carry over as long as you play on the same linked Activision account where the original progress and content were earned.

8. I purchased a COD Points bundle, but I haven’t received my COD Points in the game. What should I do?

In some cases, it may take up to 12 hours for purchases to appear in game. If your COD Points are still not showing up after 12 hours, you may need to restart your console.

If the issue persists beyond 12 hours, please contact PlayStation Support, Xbox Support, Blizzard Support, or Steam Support for assistance.

9. I used COD Points to make an in-game purchase, but I didn’t receive my content. What should I do?

In some cases, you may need to restart your console for your purchased content to appear in game. If restarting your console doesn’t resolve your issue, please contact Activision Support for help.
