Battle Royale Ranked Play in Call of Duty: Warzone
An overview of the Warzone Battle Royale Ranked Play system and how to earn Ranked Play rewards
Studio teams are investigating reports that some players received inaccurate end-of-season SR setbacks.

In order to access this mode, players must place amongst the top squads in at least 20 matches to be eligible to queue up and begin climbing the ranks.
In this case, "Top Placement" is defined as finishing among the Top 6 teams in Resurgence or the Top 15 teams in Battle Royale. Battle Royale Casual or Bootcamp does not progress your Top Placements.
The 1-50 Rank and Skill Division system seen in previous versions of BR Ranked Play have been combined into a single Rank, representing what was previously your Skill Division and Tier. Earn Skill Rating (SR) and progress through 8 Ranks:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Diamond
- Crimson
- Iridescent
- Top 250.
To maintain the overall pacing and progression of the ranked ecosystem, SR values have been tuned to better reflect the larger map, Season 03’s changes to gameplay as well as general game economy. The overall outcome of this tuning is such that your progress through ranked should be very similar in terms of time investment, with slightly higher difficulties in the very top ends (High Iridescent, top 250).
The SR Cap per match for eliminations has also been reaised to 200, instead of 150.
Full squads can party together without restrictions. Matchmaking will be based on the highest ranked player in the squad.
The End-of-Season SR Setback has been adjusted in BR Ranked Play to reduce the impact felt by players early in their Rank journey. Every new season, your Rank may be reset based on where you ended the previous season, as follows:
- Bronze or Silver Ranked players are not impacted by the Seasonal setback and will be able to pick up where they ended each Season with no SR deduction.
- Gold or Platinum players will start the next Season in Tier I of Gold or Platinum, respectively.
- Diamond and above players will start the next Season at Diamond I.
No matter what your Rank, each player’s first loss of the day will be forgiven and not deduct SR. This does not stack. Additionally, the three games of Loss Forgiveness that are granted when you’re promoted to a new Rank or at the start of the season now only count down after Losses.
BR Ranked Play features a variety of unique rewards players can earn to show off their skill and engagement with the mode, including new Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Decals, Emblems, plus a Loading Screen and Sticker:
