Call of Duty®: Black Ops 7

NEW MULTIPLAYER MAPS

Utopia - 6v6 (Launch)

Once a cutting-edge Guild research facility, this site now serves as the nerve center of Project Synapse under Alden Dorne’s command. Towering structures pierce the skyline, remnants of a forgotten future now repurposed for ruthless ambition. The layout blends sleek interiors with exposed exteriors across a loose three-lane design, offering dynamic opportunities for Wall Jumps, parkour maneuvers, and creative combat flow.

See the residence of the future in the Display Home and take a load off by the Restaurant and Garden Statue. In the center, the Showroom displays a cross section of the city, while the outer lanes border the edges of the map which drop far down below. Watch your step or risk falling away from this lap of luxury.

Fate - Core, 6v6 (Launch)

David is dragged back into the nightmare he’s tried to forget: a fractured memory where fear and regret over Raul Menendez take physical form. Step into a warped vision of Menendez’s Nicaraguan compound, now twisted beyond recognition: colossal machetes carve through the sky, and shattered pieces of reality hang suspended as if time itself has splintered.

This dreamlike map features a clearly defined three-lane layout built on a floating landmass in the sky. Fight in the central Courtyard and through the Church or take to the outer lanes where the land drops down nothingness and portals provide instant access to different areas of the map; come out the other side ready to fight.

Odysseus - 6v6/2v2 (Launch)

The team steps into a distorted hallucination aboard the scarred deck of a familiar carrier etched deep into David’s past. Close-quarters combat dominates as you fight across the deck overlooking a runway frozen in chaos: aircraft locked mid-explosion, debris suspended in time, and a crimson mist bleeding across the sky.

Bring the fight up close in the Barracks and jump up into the ceiling Vent to crawl over and drop down into the Brig. On the Bridge, the hallucination intensifies as the front window blasts outward, glass shards held suspended in the air.

Standoff - 6v6 (Launch)

Remastered for Black Ops 7, Standoff returns with greater visual fidelity than ever before. Revisit your favorite spots on this classic mid-sized map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 that played a huge role in casual and competitive play.

Flames erupt from the central tower over the Main Road where a tank and statue mark the intersection in view of the Store, Hostel, House, and Warehouse, each with a second-story viewpoint over the street. Move in close behind the stone walls by the tower to keep out of view or swing around to toward the Gas Station and Graveyard Alley to skirt the outer edge.

Sleighjacked - 6v6 (In-Season)

Hijacked gets more than just a holiday makeover in this festive map variant. Dubbed “Smooth Sleighing” for the holidays, this rethemed classic is lit up with garlands, lights, wreaths, and other decorations all celebrating the season of giving.

Yakei - 6v6/2v2 (Mid-Season)

High above the neon-soaked streets, the rooftops of a dense Japanese city become the stage for betrayal. Lights pulse through the skyline as Alden Dorne closes in on David Mason. Navigate a labyrinth of ducts, vents, and industrial structures under an eerie night glow, where vertical combat and relentless pursuit turn every ledge into a fight for survival.

Use your Wall Jump to leap over gaps with sheer drops below and flank enemies through the Maintenance passage and around Electric equipment. Yakei fits plentiful tactical opportunities across its three-lane layout; make the most of them and rule the rooftops for the win.

Meltdown - 6v6 (Mid-Season)

A fan-favorite from Black Ops 2, Meltdown returns in remastered form for the very first time with modern visuals, dynamic lighting, and molten-hot action. This mid-sized industrial map features a nearly symmetrical layout in a classic three-lane design as Operators traverse the nuclear power plant’s administrative buildings, cooling tower, and around the turbine down by the water.

There’s room for every playstyle to shine here, with multiple power positions looking down over the action and iconic flank routes like the central underpass giving close-ranged Loadouts the means to close the distance.

Fringe - 6v6 (Mid-Season)

At the Mid-Season update arriving in the new year, players will return to Fringe, first introduced in Black Ops 3 and subsequently reimagined for Black Ops 6 in Season 04. Visit the grand opening of the Rolling Hills distillery, an idyllic locale surrounded by open roads, barns, and rustic structures that offer multiple routes for engagement, now with additional traversal options via Wall Jump. Clash along the main Road or push into the Bar for close-quarters combat. Keep an eye out for sharpshooters perched in the upper Barn and along the Bridge — and brace yourself when fighting through the tight confines of the Loading route.

NEW MODES

Prop Hunt (Launch)

Disguise yourself as a prop and evade notice from searching Operators in this fan-favorite Party Mode challenging players to notice what’s not quite right in the environment. Props whistle every 30 seconds, so be ready to move and even change shape or drop a decoy if the enemy is on to you. Teams switch roles between rounds, from hiding as props to seeking them out before the round timer is up.

One in the Chamber (Launch)

Each Operator spawns with a pistol, one bullet, a Combat Knife, and three lives. The only way to earn another bullet is to eliminate another Operator. In this free for all, every shot that lands counts as an elimination, so keep your aim steady and start dancing when encountering enemy fire. When only two players remain (check this), a UAV begins to scan the area, forcing the remaining targets into a fight.

Sharpshooter (Launch)

Put your skills to the test in this free-for-all match where every Operator is given the same randomly selected weapon. Every 45 seconds, the weapon changes to a new random weapon for all players, and this cycle continues throughout the match.

Sticks & Stones (Launch Window)

Armed with a Crossbow, Ballistic Knife, and Combat Axe, players battle in a free-for-all earning points for each elimination. Keep slaying to outscore the enemy but beware — those who fall victim to the Combat Axe lose all their points. Watch your back and aim your own axe to take down players with the highest scores.

Gun Game (Launch Window)

Eliminate enemies and be the first to cycle through every weapon tier in this party mode where every Operator starts out with the same weapon. With each elimination, your weapon is advanced to the next tier. Eliminating enemies with a melee attack will demote them to the previous tear and vice versa, so don’t let anyone get up close!

Takeover (Mid-Season)

Take what’s yours in this highly playable, dynamic objective mode. Two teams of six fight over three neutral territories, earning a point for each zone they control. Highest score at the end wins the game. When all three of the zones are captured, there’s a slight cooldown before all three territories move to a new set of locations within the map.

Focus your tactics on capturing a neutral zone with your squad, as the capture time shortens with multiple Operators in the territory. You can even slow down your opponents’ capture time by defending a zone, even if you’re outgunned, leading to some impressive tactical plays across a match.

Holiday Havoc (In-Season)

Drop into this festive 6v6 moshpit featuring Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint, or their respective Hardcore variants. This limited-time mode rewards players for teamwork and objective-focused play, such as earning UAV reveal assists, with extra score events and Holiday Cheer for these actions. As you build up your Holiday Cheer, you'll unlock festive gameplay bonuses called Treats, such as a Candy Cane that boosts melee damage. Holiday Cheer accumulates throughout a match without resetting, and Care Package Presents will periodically drop from the sky for anyone to claim!

Snowfight (In-Season)

Arm yourself with snowballs replenished from piles scattered across the map. Eliminate enemies by hitting them with snowballs to win the round. No respawns.

NEW SCORESTREAK

Deadeye Drone (Launch Window, Multiplayer Only)

  • Type: Lethal
  • Score: 575
  • Mastery Badges: Yes

Remote piloted aerial drone equipped with a small magazine sniper rifle. Unlock via Weekly Challenge.

ENDGAME

Avalon Rampage: Endgame World Events

Colossus of Avalon (Launch)

A giant mechanical contraption towers over the Avalon terrain, leaving a bloody path in its wake. Expect an emergency announcement breaking into your comms to alert all Operators within the Avalon combat zones to converge on this massive metal threat. Consult your Tac-map for the expected arrival area, and once certain criteria are met, you can watch the terrifying titan fall from the skies, visible across most of the map.

To claim the bounty of rewards on offer for defeating this behemoth, you may need reinforcements outside of your own squad. Tool up, study the giant for weaknesses, expose its core, and take it out! Fail, and the Colossus will blast off into orbit, so don’t delay in your aggression.

Operator Advice: Toppling this colossus will be tough, and smaller robotic enemies are likely to be encountered, so you may wish to think about equipping Black Hat (Minor Ability) or Abilities that assist in your evasion or movement capabilities. As always, Crash Cart (Major Ability) will be an excellent choice to keep you and your squad upright in the battle to come!

Toxic Tyrant (Launch)

Initial Comms suggest a second major threat to Operators within the Avalon theater of combat: In an event codenamed “Toxic Tyrant,” the emergency alert system breaks into your usual combat chatter to warn you of a severe neurotoxin outbreak occurring in Avalon. Stemming the outbreak requires your top-tier team talent and weaponry, as the enemies spilling out of these fear-based summoning anomalies are powerful and unrelenting.

With time running out, you’ll need to focus on finding the source of this terror and try not to lose your mind entirely when facing the final, large-scale threat let loose by this hallucinatory biological weapon.

Wraith Wing (Mid-Season)

The challenges in Endgame will only intensify as the season progresses.

In the Mid-Season, keep your eyes to the sky in search of a VTOL manifested by fear, in the Wraith Wing World Event. This advanced Guild aircraft appears to have cloning capabilities with very lethal consequences as this squadron seems hellbent on eliminating as many JSOC Operators as it can. Disable it, fire at the exposed aircraft, and down that bird.

In addition, expect a fourth World Event to truly test your skills.

New Exotic Skills and Phantom Skill Track

Unlock eight new Exotic Skills that change up gameplay in a variety of strategically viable ways and at the Mid-Season, unlock the new Phantom Skill Track.

New: Exotic Skills (Launch)

Exotic Skills are powerful additions acquired by completing World Events via a special Exotic Skill Case, which randomly awards you one of the following Exotic Skills. You can equip and upgrade one Exotic Skill. If you earn a subsequent Exotic Skill Case, you have one of two options:

  • Upgrade the currently equipped Exotic Skill.
  • Replace the currently equipped Exotic Skill.

With each World Event completion, you can equip and upgrade one Exotic Skill from the following:

Mega Punch: Replaces your weapon butt with a deadly punch that knocks back enemies and deals more damage.

  • First Upgrade: Hits more enemies.
  • Final Upgrade: Chance to trigger a Photon Round that damages enemies and drops a healing capsule.

Conjuration: Kill enough enemies to summon Toxin Butterflies that harass and damage enemies.

  • First Upgrade: Further increase in damage dealt by Toxin Butterflies.
  • Final Upgrade: Greater increase in damage dealt by Toxin Butterflies.

Echo Shell: Significantly reduces damage taken from behind.

  • First Upgrade: Further reduction of damage taken from behind.

Celebration: Enemies damaged or affected by Equipment have a chance to trigger Mortar Rounds that target enemies.

  • First Upgrade: Further increase in chances to trigger Mortar Rounds.
  • Final Upgrade: Greater increase of chances to trigger Mortar Rounds.

Frost Cloud: Enemies damaged or affected by Equipment have a chance to trigger a Frost Cloud that slows enemies.

  • First Upgrade: Also damages enemies.
  • Final Upgrade: Affected enemies will transfer frost to nearby enemies.

Resurrection: On fatal damage, become temporarily invulnerable instead of dying. Available once per match.

  • First Upgrade: Gain full health after surviving.
  • Final Upgrade: Instead of surviving fatal damage, receive a Permanent Self Revive that recharges when not downed.

Shattered Shield: Stun and damage nearby enemies when Armor Plates break.

  • First Upgrade: Final break gives you temporary invulnerability.
  • Final Upgrade: Final break triggers a Photon Round that deals damage and drops a healing capsule.

Graviton Reaction: Taking melee hits can spawn a Black Hole that damages and displaces enemies.

  • First Upgrade: Also triggered by ranged attacks.
  • Final Upgrade: Also triggers on enemies in an area around the affected enemy.

Skill Track: Phantom (Mid-Season)

Strike unseen and vanish fast, slip past danger, land critical blows from the shadows.

Ambush: Critical hits from behind on unaware enemies deal more damage.

Fast Melee: Faster Melee speed.

Trap Avoidance: Traps and Mines take longer to detect you. Undetectable when fully upgraded.

Silent Movement: Quiets movement and reduces enemy detection distance.

Elusive Target: Reduces accuracy of enemies shooting at you.

Decoy: Taking significant damage deploys an Echo Unit that distracts enemies.

Endgame Progression and Rewards Continue

  • “Grounded” Mason Operator Skin
  • 55,000 XP + more rewards
ZOMBIES

New Map: Astra Malorum (Launch)

The heroes continue their perilous journey in search of another Shadowsmith, with their path leading them to a mysterious observatory, a relic ripped from the early 20th century now drifting silently within the shimmering rings of Saturn.

Once a beacon of human curiosity and discovery, the observatory has become a ghostly monument suspended in time, its rusted domes and fractured telescopes watching endlessly over the planet’s swirling bands. Within its hollow corridors, secrets of the past, and the next step in their quest awaits.

The Stars of Evil

An insatiable hunger for knowledge of the cosmos. A powerful, evil presence within the Dark Aether. Twisted rituals that grew in intensity. In the cold depths of space, a century-old observatory guards a gateway to a dead world.

New Enemy Encountered: O.S.C.A.R.

This sentinel robot — a remnant of mid-20th Century cinematic imagination — has somehow become an animated, stalking menace that roams the dark halls of the Observatory. Known as the Observation System and Carnifex Adjudicator Robot (or O.S.C.A.R. for short), this Elite entity seems to be persistent in assessing and neutralizing threats, slowly hover-patrolling areas where a disturbance has occurred.

Using a Detection Field to scan the environment in methodical sweeping motions, should a threat be determined, O.S.C.A.R. switches to Combat Mode. At this point, countermeasures are deployed:

  • Drone Shield: A smaller, mobile robot tethers itself to O.S.C.A.R., keeping it immune to all incoming damage. Additional Drones should be expected should a more protracted battle occur.
  • Tesla Field: An offensive electrical arc crackles out of O.S.C.A.R.’s carapace, searing damage into any nearby threats. Expect additional electrical offense when O.S.C.A.R. engages in close-quarter fighting.
  • Attack Drones Hologram: A Drone Hologram is deployed from O.S.C.A.R.’s chest cavity, and travels directly towards a perceived threat. Should the hologram connect with that threat, any nearby undead entities are attracted to attack in a fiercely enraged state.
  • Internal Circuitry Projectile: Should a threat become unreachable, O.S.C.A.R. produces non-critical internal parts from its interior and hefts them at a threat.

New Wonder Weapon: LGM-1

The Little Green Menace launches saucer squadrons that exterminate enemies like the lower life forms they are. Shoot for the stars!

A retro-sleek artifact with unique target acquisition and annihilation qualities, the LGM-1 shoots out partly autonomous saucer-like projectiles that swarm nearby targets with miniature (but potent) laser fire.

New Traps

Stellar Dissector

Cut up zombies with fatal laser beams

Cost: 1,000 Essence

A central feature of the Observatory’s Luminarium is an archaic celestial beamcaster that has been attached to a tall tesla coil. When exploring this astral pavilion, this contraption might do more than catch your eye.

Apogee Annihilator

Bomb zombies with Astronomer Rockets

Cost: 1,500 Essence

If you were to visit the Stargazor’s Courtyard once certain criteria were met, you may encounter a rusting, mechanical turret (shown to the right of the above image) with an ornate crank and rustic rocket repository. Perhaps the rows of missiles encased in sticks of dynamite might come in handy if you and your crew find yourself in a bit of a pickle?

Main Quest, Quest Rewards, and Challenges

The Main Quest for Astra Malorum goes live when the map releases with Season 01 on December 4. Complete the Main Quest to earn the following:

  • A new [CLASSIFIED] Operator Skin for [CLASSIFIED], Calling Card, and 10,000 XP.
  • Complete Astra Malorum Mastery Challenge for another Calling Card and 5,000 XP.
  • Obtain the necessary Intel — Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts — to earn a third Calling Card and another 10,000 XP.
  • Players who complete the Main Quest before Directed Mode arrives for this map will also earn a unique Calling Card variant.

Astra Malorum also comes with six new Calling Card Challenges, with an animated Mastery Card for completing the entire set. Players can access the set from the Map select screen in the Quest Reward/Intel widget, or via the Zombies Calling Card Challenges menu in the "Maps" category. There might even be some new Dark Ops Challenges to discover!

NEW RESURGENCE MAP: HAVEN'S HOLLOW

The battle lines have been re-drawn, as the area of operations shifts to an isolated Appalachian town that feels straight out of another era. Though parts of the picturesque hamlet of Haven’s Hollow may look familiar, there are plenty of new areas to explore. It’s also the stage for fast-paced frenetic Resurgence gameplay.

Get a step ahead of the competition with a deeper look at the major POIs you’ll encounter in your deployments to Haven’s Hollow.

Check out the Call of Duty blog for a deep dive into Haven's Hollow.

POINTS OF INTEREST

New Verdansk POIs (Launch)

In addition to marking the release of Haven’s Hollow, the Season 01 update also brings two POIs to Verdansk, the brand-new Signal Station and the remastered Factory.

Signal Station

A new Guild complex arrives in the north of Verdansk, instantly recognizable by its three white spheres looking over the frozen lake and forest. Explore the main building featuring multiple levels of combat and a large central area where squads can interact with the facility to access additional map intel.

Outside, the road curves through a covered pathway at the base of the facility. Drive in, Zipline up into the main building, get what you need, and zip back out. The smaller warehouse by the helipad out front offers a more concealed area, good for ambushing enemies on the ground, the opposite garage offering similar advantages along the main road.

Factory

Players with experience in Verdansk ’84 will recognize this sprawling industrial site located just east of Superstore. Guild Rockets are being developed and stored in the updated Factory site, supported by an intricate system of worksites, silos, warehouses, and other supporting facilitates.

The dense cluster of buildings is packed with loot, well worth a stop if you can survive the trip. The iconic location is bound to draw a lot of attention, its tightly packed buildings giving squads lots of room to maneuver. Keep your comms active to stay one step ahead of the enemy, and for a near full view of the Factory exterior, send your best sharpshooter up the Ascender to the top of the control tower.

NEW MODES

Drop into Haven’s Hollow, Rebirth Island, and the newly updated Verdansk and expect the following Modes, with additional Playlists as the season progresses:

  • Battle Royale, Battle Royale Casual
  • Resurgence, Resurgence Casual

Additionally, reports of anomalies appearing periodically throughout certain [CLASSIFIED] locations appear to be valid. Further inspection is required at Mid-Season.

Look for other powerful additions to push the Maddox towards long-ranged precision or snappy, mid-ranged play.

Prestige Attachment

LMG, Event Reward

  • Levels: 39

  • Customize Options: Skins, Camos and Reticle Unlocks (CM, MP, ZM, WZ), Accessories (1), Decals (1), Stickers (3)

Full-auto light machine gun. Can switch on demand between a slower fire rate with high accuracy and range, and a faster fire rate with higher damage and recoil.

When you need suppressive fire, few weapons outshine the Sokol 545 LMG, a beast of a weapon with a base Mag Size of over 100, the largest in its class. It’s also got the furthest damage range before suffering drop off penalties, making it a good choice for pinning down enemy marksman. For those looking to cover their squad and keep up the pressure over sustained fights, this is the tool for the job with two fire-rate switches to cater for almost every combat situation.

Prestige Attachment

Fire Mod > Rapid Fire Mod: MFS 48-Dread Burst Mod

Improve your fire rate with the Tribolt Prestige Attachment, allowing your Operator to load in three bolts at a time for quick follow up shots that help mitigate time spent reloading.

Hawker HX (In-Season)

Sniper Rifle, Event Reward

  • Levels: 38
  • MAGS: 4
  • MAG SIZE: 7
  • Mastery Badges: Yes
  • Attachments: Optic, Muzzle, Barrel, Underbarrel, Magazine, Rear Grip, Stock, Laser, Fire Mods
  • Customize Options: Skins, Camos and Reticle Unlocks (CM, MP, ZM, WZ), Accessories (1), Decals (1), Stickers (3)

Bolt-action Sniper Rifle. Fast handling and mobility. Higher recoil and flinch. Hold breath while ADS to steady.

Black Ops 2 veterans may recognize this powerful Sniper Rifle, a bolt-action weapon that deals heavy damage with a high one-shot hit potential against unarmed enemies. When compared to the VS Recon (another bolt action rifle), the Hawker HX has a higher recoil and flinch and is generally less stable. It also takes a little longer time to rechamber between shots. But the handling and mobility are excellent, and this could be the go-to weapon for players that want to ADS and get shots off quickly.

Prestige Attachment

Barrel > Damage Barrel: [CLASSIFIED] Barrel

Initial testing for this Attachment is [CLASSIFIED], but it appears this Prestige Attachment allows for a Tac Stance Sniper build.

Sturmwolf 45 (In-Season)

SMG, Event Reward

  • Levels: 38
  • MAGS: 4
  • MAG SIZE: 32
  • Mastery Badges: Yes
  • Attachments: Optic, Muzzle, Barrel, Underbarrel, Magazine, Rear Grip, Stock, Laser, Fire Mods
  • Customize Options: Skins, Camos and Reticle Unlocks (CM, MP, ZM, WZ), Accessories (1), Decals (1), Stickers (3)

Full-auto submachine gun. Very low recoil and good headshot damage. Lower handling, mobility, and range.

The Sturmwolf 45 is a highly accurate SMG and extremely easy to use, making it an excellent choice for those needing precise hits on enemies, including headshots. Though it has slightly limited handling and mobility, and a shorter overall range compared to other SMGs, expect a recognizable, classic feel to this weapon, with a recoil pattern you may well remember!

Prestige Attachment

Magazine > [CLASSIFIED]

Combat testing of this Prestige Attachment remains [CLASSIFIED], though initial results indicate the Attachment grants more recoil and power.

NEW OPERATORS

Scorn (BlackCell, JSOC, Launch)

“Scorn” Skin: BlackCell Instant Reward Page

Scorn operates as an autonomous frontline enforcer specializing in high-risk, short-window missions. Outfitted with full-body reactive plating and the latest in assault technology, he is custom built for direct engagement. Training in urban suppression and armored breach tactics combined with off-the-carts physical metrics provide innumerable advantages when deployed to CQB environments. No known military record has been linked to Scorn, but rumors tie him to multiple black-budget research programs — the existence of which the CIA vehemently denies.

Alden Dorne (Battle Pass, Guild, Launch)
