There are multiple ways you can acquire 2XP and Weapon 2XP tokens:

• Gameplay: Call of Duty: Vanguard offers objectives and challenges that can reward 2XP or Weapon 2XP tokens upon completion.
• Partnerships: Buy specially-marked products from various retailers and partners and receive codes redeemable for 2XP and/or Weapon 2XP tokens. Learn more about Call of Duty: Vanguard promotions.
• Premium Battle Pass tiers: Progress through Premium Battle Pass tiers to unlock 2XP or Weapon 2XP tokens.
• Pre-order bonuses: Select editions of Call of Duty: Vanguard include 2XP and/or Weapon 2XP tokens.

Please note: For partnerships that grant Dual 2XP, you will receive separate tokens for 2XP and Weapon 2XP when you redeem a code.

If you have 2XP or Weapon 2XP tokens available, you can activate a token from the 2XP sidebar in the pregame lobby.

1. Enter a pregame lobby from the Multiplayer menu.
2. Press the left thumbstick (console) or select the icon (PC) to open the 2XP sidebar.
3. Highlight an available 2XP or Weapon 2XP token tile and Select to activate the token.

Once a 2XP or Weapon 2XP token is activated, the time to earn 2XP in Multiplayer begins. A countdown timer will display in the Multiplayer pregame lobby. 

2XP and Weapon 2XP tokens count down in real time, not in-game time.

Do not activate 2XP tokens during 2XP events. Tokens activated during 2XP events do not stack and will not grant 4XP.

You can only use the 2XP and Weapon 2XP tokens in public Multiplayer matches. While participating in these matches with a token activated, you'll earn twice the usual amount of XP for in-match accomplishments and achievements.

Your 2XP and Weapon 2XP are awarded immediately and are reflected in the total XP you earned listed in the After Action Report.

Yes. Once a 2XP or Weapon 2XP token is activated, the time to earn 2XP in Multiplayer begins, and you'll see a timer counting down in the Multiplayer pregame lobby.

2XP and Weapon 2XP Tokens count down in real time whether you're in a match or not, including in the pregame lobby, when you're adjusting your loadout, or even if you exit the game. Therefore, to maximize your 2XP earning potential, we recommend only activating 2XP and Weapon 2XP tokens when you're sure your game session will last at least as long as the time of the 2XP or Weapon 2XP token.

No, you're free to activate as many 2XP and Weapon 2XP tokens as you wish. However, once you activate a token, you can't deactivate it. Therefore, to maximize your 2XP earning potential, we recommend only activating 2XP and Weapon 2XP tokens when you're sure your game session will last at least as long as the time of the 2XP or Weapon 2XP token.

Please note: Activating multiple 2XP or Weapon 2XP tokens extends the duration in which you will earn 2XP and Weapon 2XP. It does not act as a multiplier to 2XP or Weapon 2XP (e.g., 4XP).

• Tokens earned through gameplay or Battle Pass: There is no limit to the number of 2XP and Weapon 2XP minutes you can activate in a day.
• Tokens acquired through partnerships: A limit of40 hours of each 2XP token (2XP or Weapon 2XP) per account may be used across all promotions. A limit of one hour maximum of each 2XP token (2XP or Weapon 2XP) may be used in-game per day.

No. While 2XP and Weapon 2XP tokens acquired through code redemptions from partnerships have a cap of 40 hours, there is no cap on the amount of 2XP or Weapon 2XP you can receive from tokens earned in the game.
