The following is a breakdown of each edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Pre-orders for digital editions of Call of Duty: Vanguard are available now through platform stores and select Call of Duty in-game stores. Check out what comes with each digital edition below, including pre-order incentives.

Digital Standard Edition (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC)

The digital Standard Edition features the Call of Duty: Vanguard base game along with the Frontline Weapons Pack, which includes two Call of Duty: Vanguard weapon blueprints, available at launch.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players

The digital Standard Edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be playable on their respective next-generation consoles via backward compatibility. However, the game will not include any of the next-generation features, such as higher framerates, hardware-based graphical improvements, shorter load times, and other advantages.

Next-generation upgrade options

Both digital console versions of Call of Duty: Vanguard will offer upgrades, within the same console family, from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S that will support higher framerates, hardware-based graphical improvements, shorter load times, and other advantages.

Upgrade options will be available within the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.

Cross-generation compatibility

The Cross-Gen Bundle includes a digital entitlement for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 or Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. If you upgrade to a next-generation console within the same console family, the game will be available for download from your account Library.

The next-generation version of the game will feature higher framerates, hardware-based graphical improvements, shorter load times, and other advantages.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-generation enabled. If you upgrade to a next-generation console, your profile, progression, stats, and digital content will move with you as long as you continue playing on the same Activision account.

Digital Ultimate Edition (PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PC)

The digital Ultimate Edition includes the Call of Duty: Vanguard base game for both console generations within the same console family (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 or Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S), or the base game for PC.

The digital Ultimate Edition also includes the following digital incentives:

• The Task Force One Pack, which includes three themed Operators and three Weapon Blueprints with Tracer Rounds
• The Frontline Weapons Pack, which includes two Weapon Blueprints available at launch and playable in both Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera
• The Battle Pass Bundle, good for one Season Battle Pass and includes 20 Tier Skips
• Five hours of Double XP and five hours of Double Weapon XP for use in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Caldera, available as Double XP Tokens when the game launches

Digital Ultimate Edition Pre-order Bonus: Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition through the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War or Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera in-game store will instantly receive 10 Battle Pass Tier Skips redeemable in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Caldera.

Please note: Physical editions of the game as well as upgrade options will not operate on a discless PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S.

Physical Standard Edition (PlayStation 4, Xbox One)

The physical Standard Edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One includes a game disc that can also be played on next- generations consoles within the same console family via backward compatibility.

There is no physical version available for PC.

Physical Standard Edition (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X)

The physical Standard Edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X includes a game disc and offers higher framerates, hardware-based graphical improvements, shorter load times, and other advantages compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

• PlayStation 5 Standard Edition: Includes the PlayStation 5 version of the game on disc. This version of the game will not operate on a discless PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4.
• Xbox Series X Standard Edition: Includes both the Xbox Series X and Xbox One versions of the game on disc.

Next-generation upgrade options

• The PlayStation 4 Standard Edition will have an option to upgrade to a digital version for PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store. Please note: The PlayStation 4 disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 to access the digitally upgraded PlayStation 5 version of the game. This upgrade option is not compatible with a discless PlayStation 5.
• The Xbox One Standard Edition cannot be upgraded.

Cross-generation compatibility
