The system requirements for Call of Duty®: Warzone™ Mobile (WZM) are being updated as part of the introduction of Season 01 and our newest technology. The new WZM minimum specifications require iOS 17 or Android 13 or higher and device hardware with GPUs capable of bindless texturing, effective beginning November 14, 2024. Your device will need to meet these minimum specifications to continue receiving updates and access the latest game version for Season 01 and beyond.
Incompatible devices will not be able to update WZM after November 14, 2024. Devices that do not meet the new minimum specifications but have version 3.10 of the game installed before November 14 can, provided the game is not uninstalled after this date, continue to play for a limited time – estimated to be until May 5, 2025, subject to technical feasibility – after which, version 3.10 will be taken permanently offline. Impacted players can still use previously purchased Call of Duty Points until version 3.10 is taken offline or they log in with a compatible device and update to the latest version of the game.
Impacted players can receive make-good rewards in Call of Duty: Mobile by logging in to CODM using the same Call of Duty account used in WZM after November 14, 2024.
The minimum device specifications for WZM needed to be increased for future updates and integrations with the Call of Duty franchise to meet our high standards of performance while providing a best-in-class gameplay experience.
Players using compatible devices can update and play the latest version of the game as usual.
Progression and unlocked content in 3.10
Progression and unlocked content achieved prior to the minimum specifications update will remain unaffected. Players can still earn progression to unlock weapons, camos, and other content within version 3.10.
Arsenal Coins and Event Store currencies will no longer be available to spend.
However, with the integration of WZM into the new progression system and inventory items linked to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in Season 01, progression and unlocked content released during or after Season 01 will not be accessible in version 3.10 when continuing to play WZM version 3.10.
Maps and game modes in 3.10
A variety of maps and modes will be available to play in version 3.10 while it remains in service, but new maps and modes from Season 01 and beyond will not be available in this version, requiring version 4.0 or higher.
Battle Pass and BlackCell in 3.10
Players can also continue progressing through Season 6 Battle Pass from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare® III but will no longer be able to upgrade to the BlackCell. Future Battle Pass and BlackCell offerings will not be available in version 3.10.
COD Points in 3.10
Players with unused COD Points can still use them to acquire content in WZM through the in-game store. However, players whose devices do not meet the minimum specifications will not be able to purchase additional COD Points.
Matchmaking across versions
Players on version 3.10 of WZM will only be able to play with other players on that version of the game. Similarly, players who update WZM to version 4.0 or higher will only be matched with players on the latest version.
Players who upgrade to a device compatible with the minimum specifications can get on the latest version. Compatible devices will gain access to install or update to version 4.0 of WZM (or the latest version at the time) and will be able to make in-game purchases again.
No. If you are unable to update WZM after Season 01 begins, you will not be able to access shared content from Black Ops 6 or Call of Duty: Warzone. However, you can access all such connected content in WZM when you update to the latest version on a compatible mobile device.
Digital content purchased in WZM is tied to an Activision account. Therefore, if you have access to a device that meets the WZM minimum specifications, your purchased content will be available to use as long as you log in to the same Activision account you used to make the purchases.
You will be unable to play WZM version 3.10 on the incompatible device. You MUST update WZM to version 3.10 prior to November 14, 2024, in order to continue playing on version 3.10.
You will be unable to play WZM version 3.10 on the incompatible device. Version 3.10 cannot be sideloaded or separately downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. In order to play WZM after uninstalling Version 3.10, you must use a device compatible with the then-current minimum requirements.
Reward Event in Call of Duty: Mobile:
Players impacted by the new minimum requirements can log in to Call of Duty: Mobile as of November 14 and receive Epic Operator - Ghost Stealth, Legendary M4 – Black Gold Royal, plus COD Points equal to your WZM balance.
To collect your rewards, log in to CODM with the same Activision account you used in WZM. Tap the envelope icon at the top of the home screen to open the Mail center and claim your reward. If your rewards are not there yet, check back in a few days. It could take a couple of weeks to process all rewards.
Eligibility
Activision account required. Reward redemption requires an Activision account. If you are playing either WZM or Call of Duty: Mobile – or both – on a guest account or other account type, you can link or upgrade your active account to an Activision account using in-game options. When the same Activision account is associated with both games, and your device is no longer compatible, then your account is eligible to receive the rewards in Call of Duty: Mobile. Additionally, accounts that played WZM on or within 180 days prior to November 14, 2024, on a device that is not compatible with the minimum specifications for version 4.0 are eligible to receive the rewards. Rewards are granted automatically to eligible accounts and redeemed using the Call of Duty: Mobile inbox feature.
In general, devices on iOS 17 or higher or Android 13 or higher operating system are compatible except for the following GPUs that do not support the bindless texturing requirement:
