Call of Duty: Vanguard Battle Pass

How the tiered reward system works across Call of Duty: Vanguard

The Battle Pass is the tiered reward system that unlocks digital content as you play Call of Duty. With the launch of Season Six for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, you can now start earning digital content for use in those games as well as Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Each season's Battle Pass comes with 100 Tiers of new digital content, including over 20 Tiers that are free for everyone. Tiers are unlocked just by playing the game. 

At any time during the season, you can upgrade to the full Battle Pass in exchange for COD Points and gain access to all 100 Tiers. The full Battle Pass also includes 1,300 COD Points throughout its 100 Tiers, which can be used to purchase Bundles within the Store or saved to buy the next season's Battle Pass. 

Battle Pass Tiers may also grant Double XP and Double Weapon XP Tokens, which can be activated at any time within the Multiplayer lobby.

Those looking to expedite their progression can upgrade to the Battle Pass Bundle and immediately unlock 20 Tiers of content.

1. Are there different versions of the Battle Pass?

Yes, each season includes a brand-new Battle Pass containing items that was not previously available.

2. Do I need the Battle Pass to play Call of Duty: Vanguard?

The Battle Pass is free to all players. However, upgrading to the full Battle Pass is an optional addition to your Call of Duty: Vanguard experience and does not offer players an advantage over other players without the full Battle Pass.

3. Can I buy individual items from a Battle Pass?

No. Items within the Battle Pass can only be obtained by unlocking Battle Pass Tiers. However, some Battle Pass items from previous seasons may become available within Bundles.

4. Can I buy the full Battle Pass from previous seasons?

No. A Battle Pass for a specific season expires when that season is over.

5. If I buy a full Battle Pass during a Season, will I get the items I would have unlocked if I had the full Battle Pass all along?

Yes. Purchasing the full Battle Pass allows you to access all Tiers and items within the Battle Pass. If you purchase the full Battle Pass after earning multiple inaccessible Tiers, those Tiers will automatically unlock everything within that season's Battle Pass up to your current Tier.

6. How much is the full Battle Pass?

You can purchase the full Battle Pass from the Store for 1,000 COD Points. There will also be a Battle Pass Bundle available for 2,400 COD Points, which automatically unlocks the first 20 Battle Pass Tiers upon purchase.

7. If I upgrade within a console family (Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S, or PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5), will my Battle Pass progress and unlocked content carry over?

Game progress and purchased or earned content in Call of Duty games with crossplay and cross-progression are stored on your Activision account. If you choose to upgrade to a new platform or switch to a new console family, your game progress and purchased or earned content will carry over as long as you play on the same linked Activision account where you earned the original progress and content.
