Call of Duty: Warzone Recruit A Friend Program

Earn unique in-game rewards by playing Warzone with friends you recruit or friends who recruit you

Recruit A Friend is an exciting new program in the Call of Duty® franchise where you can earn unique in-game rewards by recruiting and completing challenges with your friends.

After recruiting friends or getting recruited, you’ll gain access to various challenges within Call of Duty®: Warzone™. Unlock rewards each time you complete one of the challenges, and earn 2XP Tokens just for signing up.

1. Who can participate in the Recruit A Friend program?

The Recruit A Friend program is open to players who are at least 18 years of age, have a valid Activision account, and meet the eligibility requirements below.

Players who do not have a valid Activision account can create a free one in order to participate in the program. Regional restrictions may apply*.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Recruiters must have at least three hours of gameplay in Warzone and an Activision account more than 60 days old.
  • Recruits must have an Activision account that is less than 7 days old or must not have played Warzone for more than 60 days.
  • *Players in the following countries are currently ineligible to participate: Austria, Argentina, New Zealand, Belgium, Peru, Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Philippines, and Poland.

Recruiters may recruit up to three eligible players to participate in the program alongside them.

Recruits will become automatically connected as Activision friends with their recruiter upon accepting the invite.

2. How long will the Recruit A Friend program run?

Eligible players can sign up on the website to be part of this event for the duration of Season 03 in Warzone.

Players can complete challenges until Season 03 ends in Warzone.

3. What is my role after I sign up?

Depending on if you are a Recruiter or a Recruit, here's what to do next:

  • If you signed up for the program without receiving or accepting an invite from another player, you will be a Recruiter. As a Recruiter, you can invite up to three eligible friends to be your Recruits.
  • If you signed up for the program after receiving and accepting an invite from another player, you will be a Recruit. As a Recruit, you can only participate in the program alongside your Recruiter. You will not be able to invite friends to participate with you.

4. How do I add friends to my Friends list in Warzone?

Head to the Social menu to manage your friends. Friends are sorted into two categories: Activision friends and friends on your current console. To invite a friend, you'll need to enter their Activision ID (ex: DisplayName#1234567).

5. Does a player need to be on my Activision friends list before I can recruit them or accept an invite to be recruited?

No. Once you recruit a friend or get recruited, you will be automatically added to each other's friends lists.

6. How do I invite friends to the Recruit A Friend program?

  1. Go to the Recruit A Friend site and select Get Started.
  2. To sign up, log in to your Activision account when prompted. You will then be taken to the Recruit A Friend dashboard.
  3. Select Copy next to the invite link on your dashboard.
  4. Share the link with the friends you want to recruit.
  5. Once your friends have accepted your invite, you will see their usernames appear on your Recruit A Friend dashboard.

Please note: Invite links will expire 60 days after they are generated, or when a Recruiter adds the maximum of three Recruits.

7. How do we complete challenges and earn rewards?

Once you've recruited a friend or have been recruited, party up and play Warzone together to complete Recruit A Friend in-game challenges.

Check the in-game Recruit A Friend dashboard to see which challenges you need to complete with your friend(s) to earn rewards. You can track the progress of your challenges in game.

Recruits can earn up to three free rewards, and Recruiters can earn up to nine free rewards. Both Recruits and Recruiters are eligible for the 2XP sign-up bonus.

Please note: Players must have a platform account linked to their Activision accounts in order to receive the 2XP sign-up bonuses. If you linked your platform account after you signed up for the program, don’t worry - just check back in a bit and you should receive your 2XP bonuses.

8. We earned all of the program rewards. What's next?

Congratulations, you completed the program! Stay tuned for future updates to the program.

9. Can I participate in the program more than once?

Currently, you may only participate in the Recruit A Friend program once, either as a Recruit or Recruiter.

10. One of my Recruits is not participating in the program. Can I have them removed?

No. You are currently unable to remove Recruits.

11. My Recruiter isn't participating in the program. Can I get recruited by someone else?

No. Once you are recruited, you cannot be recruited by another player.

12. My Recruit/Recruiter has deleted their account or has been banned. Can I still participate in the program with them?

No. If you are a Recruiter and your Recruit has deleted their account or been banned, you will not be able to recruit a replacement.

If you are a Recruit and your Recruiter has deleted their account or been banned, you will not be able to participate in the program any further, nor will you be able to re-join with another player.

13. I didn't receive a reward for completing a challenge. What should I do?

If you completed a Recruit A Friend challenge and did not receive your reward, please reach out to us for assistance.
