A guide to getting into the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta
All physical edition pre-orders of Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 include a code to register for Early Access to the Black Ops 6 Open Beta*. In most cases, the code will be printed on the retail receipt or sent to you via email on an online receipt. Please contact your retailer if you didn't receive or can't locate your code.
If you pre-ordered a digital edition of Black Ops 6 or have an active subscription on a qualifying Game Pass plan‡, you don't need a code. You're automatically registered to participate in the Black Ops 6 Open Beta with Early Access on your pre-order platform.
1. How do I redeem my Early Access Beta token?
If you successfully redeemed a Beta code, you will be sent an Early Access Beta token to grant you access to the Beta. Early Access Beta tokens will be emailed from callofduty.com and will also be available on callofduty.com/betaredeem before Early Access begins.
Redeem your Early Access Beta token on the platform you chose when registering for the Beta.
Xbox Series X and Xbox One
On consoles:
1. From the Home screen, select and open the Store app.2. Press the View button on the controller to open the side menu.
3. From that menu, select Redeem.
4. Enter the Early Access Beta token and then follow the prompts.

On consoles:
1. Go to Settings and select Users and Accounts.2. Under Account, select Payment and Subscriptions, then select Redeem Codes.
3. Enter the Early Access Beta token and select Redeem.

1. Go to the PlayStation Store.2. Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and select Redeem Codes.

1. Log in to your Battle.net account.2. In the Account Overview section, enter the code in the Redeem a Code box.
3. Select Redeem Code.

Steam
1. Launch the Steam client software and log into your Steam account.2. Select Add a Game at the bottom of the Steam client.
3. Choose Activate a Product on Steam...
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.

2. What do I do if I didn't get my Early Access Beta token email from Activision?
Early Access Beta tokens are emailed to the email address on the account you used to redeem your Beta code. After the email is sent, you can also find your Early Access Beta token on callofduty.com/betaredeem.
3. How do I participate in the Beta?
Weekend One: Early Access
August 30: Early Access is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM PT for players who have pre-ordered the game across all platforms (consoles and PC), as well as Game Pass subscribers‡.
Weekend One is scheduled to end on September 4 at 10:00 AM PT.
Weekend Two: Open Beta
September 6: The Open Beta is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM PT for all players on all platforms.
Weekend Two is scheduled to end on September 9 at 10:00 AM PT.
Digital edition pre-orders with Call of Duty HQ already installed
The Beta will be installed as part of a Modern Warfare III/Warzone game update. The Beta will then unlock and be available to launch within Call of Duty HQ when it begins on your platform.
Physical edition pre-orders with Call of Duty HQ already installed
Enter your Early Access Beta token on your platform, then follow the on-screen steps to download the Beta. The Beta will then unlock and be available to launch within Call of Duty HQ when it begins on your platform.
Digital and physical pre-orders without Call of Duty HQ installed
Enter your Early Access Beta token on your platform.
Xbox (including Game Pass), Microsoft Store, and PlayStation
1. Search for Call of Duty in the store.2. Highlight the Black Ops 6 Beta tile.
3. Select Download.
Once the Beta is finished installing, select the Call of Duty HQ tile from your platform's homescreen to begin playing.
Battle.net
The Beta will automatically download and will be available to launch from your game library when the Beta begins.
Steam
1. Search for Call of Duty in the store.2. Highlight the Black Ops 6 Beta tile.
3. Select Download.
I didn't pre-order Black Ops 6
If you have Call of Duty HQ installed, you can download the Beta from within the HQ.
If you do not have Call of Duty HQ installed, search for Call of Duty in your platform's store and download the Black Ops 6 Beta.
4. I’m having trouble installing the Beta. What should I do?
Here are a few troubleshooting tips for installation issues:
- Make sure that your console is up to date with the latest firmware.
- Make sure your console is connected to the internet before starting the installation.
- Keep your console connected to the internet throughout the entire installation.
- Allow any installation to complete before attempting to access the Beta.
- Make sure your console is set to your current region.
5. What can I do if I’m experiencing long download times?
You may experience slow downloads due to activity on your network, your region, or the speed of your internet connection.
To optimize your download speed, avoid other bandwidth-heavy applications while downloading the Beta. We also recommend using a wired connection.
