My Prestige icon doesn't match my current level.

- All platforms

A visual issue has been identified where the Prestige icon in the top righthand corner of the screen doesn't match the player's current Prestige level. A fix to address this issue is scheduled in a future update.

My Weapon Camo progress isn't tracking.

- All platforms

Weapon Camo progression tracking on some weapons, including the STG44 and M1 Garand, is under investigation. 

I'm not unlocking reticles on my weapons.

- All platforms

An issue with reticles not unlocking is currently under investigation.

I'm getting Dev Error 5573.

– All platforms

Some players have reported game crashes leading to Dev Error 5573 or Fatal Error.

Workaround: In some cases, these crashes may be resolved by setting your Operator's skin to the default skin.

I'm getting a Vivacious error.

– PlayStation and PC

The Vivacious error can occur when installing or updating the game.

If you receive this error while installing the game, you will need to quit and restart the installation.

Game updates

Follow these steps if you received a Vivacious error while updating the game on a PlayStation.

1. Reboot your PlayStation.

2. Highlight Call of Duty: Vanguard on the homescreen.

3. Press the Options button.

4. Select Check for updates.

My controller keeps disconnecting.

– Xbox and PC

Some players have reported controllers disconnecting or becoming unresponsive during gameplay. In some cases, players Xbox Series X|S receive a "You need a controller to play." message while using a mouse and keyboard.

Workaround: You may need to disconnect and reconnect your controller.

Tip: Make sure your controller's firmware is up to date. Learn how to update an Xbox wireless controller

My game is crashing.

- PC

PC Players report crashes at launch or while playing the game, receiving error codes including 0x00001337, 0xc0000005, and 0x00001338.

Make sure your video card drivers are up to date, and your PC meets the minimum requirements to play Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Workaround: Shut down any applications running in the background while playing the game.

Some Operator Challenges are not unlocking.

- All platforms

Operator Challenge progression tracking in Multiplayer and Zombies is currently under investigation.

Game freezes on PlayStation 5

An issue causing the game to freeze before reaching the main menu on PlayStation 5 has been resolved.
