Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Season 5

Everything you need to know about Season 5 in Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

NEW MULTIPLAYER MAPS

Bait (6v6, Core, Launch)

Catch some rays in the Sunshine State on the mid-sized Bait. Battle amongst tiki huts and take a swim in the pool or remain dockside watching for enemy movement near interior spaces like the Restaurant, Boat House, and Bait Shop. The map’s twisting layout provides endless tactical opportunities for every playstyle.

Reach the Loading Docks via the Boat House crawl space and ambush enemies from the alcoves along the Jetty. Be the angler and not the prey, making use of every advantage.

Yard (6v6, Core, Launch)

Crush your enemies in a dusty junkyard out in the Sonoran Desert. The small cel-shaded map twists around the base of the central Crane, surrounded by dirt pathways, containers, and discarded components. The eastern Garage offers a tight flanking path down the map, but most of the fighting takes place in the open.

Try your luck in the base of the Crane, where its rounded interior curves around a dividing wall adjacent to a small work room. Prepare to encounter Shotguns and explosives; an Operator who survives the inner gauntlet will be rewarded with its critical position as the map’s dead center.

Celship (Variant, 6v6, Core, Launch)

Deploy to a cel-shaded version of Shipment where multi-colored containers and the bright blue sea add vibrancy to the intensely chaotic map. Animations take on a new life, too, the bright sun shining a light on every little detail.

Toonoxide (Variant, 6v6, Core, Launch)

It’s dusk on Rust with a full moon overhead. As another cel-shaded map variant, the fan-favorite location takes on a whole new vibe. The threat — and opportunities — presented by the central Tower, however, remain ever at the heart of this classic battleground.

Ink House (Variant, 6v6, Core, Mid-Season)

Return to Palo Alto as Stash House gets the cel-shaded treatment with a stress on bold black outlines lending the map an inked look. Enjoy the details in the heightened contrast while fighting for every inch around the iconic house.

NEW MODES

COD Warrior (Launch)

Mini-games, anyone? COD Warrior is a new Mode that puts three teams of two to the test in a series of randomized quickfire mini-games. Every round wins one point, and the first team to reach five points takes the game.

Be prepared for mini-game mayhem! Round timers for mini-games will range from 15 to 90 seconds, and all mini-games will be weapon-based and give Operators one life, with no respawn.

COD Warrior Mini-Games:

Beat Up the Car!

Round Time: 60 Seconds

Each team spawns in with Sledgehammers and a vehicle. The first team to destroy their car wins.

Breacher Ball!

Round Time: 60 seconds

All Operators are provided with unlimited Breacher Drones as their only armament. Survive to win.

Bullet Time!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Test your reflexes against extremely low velocity weapons, allowing you to better sidestep and evade enemy fire. Survive to win.

Fire!

Round Time: 30 seconds

Spawn in a circle with every Operator wielding the powerful TYR Handgun. Draw fast and survive to win.

Don’t Fire!

Round Time: 15 seconds

Listen closely. In this variant, everyone spawns in a circle with the TYR Handgun equipped. Anyone who shoots, however, will die on the spot. Survive to win.

Drone Wars!

Round Time: 60 seconds

All Operators spawn with Stormenders and Bomb Drones. Survive to win.

Fragged!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Settle things explosively in this mini-game where all Operators are provided with unlimited Frag Grenades and a Riot Shield to defend against the blasts.

The Hunt!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Operators are assigned the role of a hunter or a runner. Hunters must eliminate the runners who have no weapons to fight back.

Knives!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Operators spawn with knives only. Survive to win.

“Meta” Loadout!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Do your best in this ironic take on the meta as Operators duke it out with poorly optimized Loadouts. Survive to win.

Miniguns for Everyone!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Prepare for brutal combat as each Operator is provided a Juggernaut suit and a minigun. Survive to win.

Last Ninja Standing!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Operators battle with Throwing Stars only while benefiting from increased movement speed and jump height. Survive to Win.

Revive!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Each team spawns with a downed Operator. The first team to locate and revive their downed teammate wins.

Shocking!

Round Time: 60 seconds

Push through the pain. In this mini-game, all Operators must battle under the permanent effects of a Shock Stick.

Turret Time!

Round Time: 90 seconds

All Operators are provided with Stormenders and a Remote Turret. Survive to win.

Slam Deathmatch (In-Season)

Wrestle up your finest Finishing Moves in this spin on traditional Team Deathmatch. It’s still all about eliminations in Slam Deathmatch, but in this Mode weapons can only down your enemies. To earn points, you must finish off opponents by hitting them with a Finishing Move. All Finishing Moves will be randomized WWE Finishing Moves in upcoming Slam Deathmatch brawls, and the Mode will only be available during the WWE SummerSlam event, starting on July 31.

All Finishing Moves will be randomized WWE Finishing Moves in upcoming Slam Deathmatch brawls, and the Mode will only be available during the WWE SummerSlam in-game Event, starting on July 31.

Arcade Playlist (In-Season)

Power up with the return of Arcade, featuring two new strategic abilities and several exciting new power weapons. In addition, all Arcade players will benefit from increased jump height and the ability to slam (non-damaging) to quickly return to the ground.

Abilities: Two new abilities arrive with Arcade this season. Players can Ground Slam, doling out damage in an area of effect upon landing from a jump. If successfully completed within range of an enemy, the blow can be lethal. Forcefield is a defense ability, creating a big transparent bubble around the player that defends against incoming bullets. As the Forcefield absorbs more damage, it will eventually be destroyed.

Weapons: Deliver the pain with five new power weapons, each with a unique effect:

  • Sledgehammer Melee: Increased knockback ability
  • Minigun: Battle Rage ability
  • MORS Sniper Rifle: Explosive knockback effect
  • TYR Pistol: Akimbo Snakeshot Dragon’s Breath
  • Push Dagger Melee: Big lunge ability

Fishfection (Mid-Season)

Avoid the hook in this slippery twist on Infected. Equipped with only the Compound Bow and Spear as your weapons in Fishfection, where it’s your goal to prevent getting eliminated by a bloodthirsty school of Fish Operators composed of previously fallen players.

Paintball (Mid-Season)

We’re going painting! Paintball, played predominantly  on small maps and in modes like Capture the Flag and Kill Confirmed, gives players increased movement abilities for the duration of the Mode and replaces all bullet impacts with paint splatters. That means every weapon is a one-shot kill, so take cover behind a bunker of choice and get ready for some quick-action painting.

Defuse or Destroy (Mid-Season)

Expect an explosive twist on Search & Destroy at mid-season too! In this round-based objective mode, teams take turns attacking and defending bomb sites. The twist? This mode’s rounds start with a bomb already planted in one of two possible locations, putting a literal ticking time bomb into play as teams alternate to defend and defuse.

NEW TACTICAL

Deactivate enemy electronics and disrupt enemy sensors for a short time. Even if no equipment is affected, you’ll still negatively impact the HUD of any enemies caught in the blast, making this a good breaching tool to disorient opponents before rushing in for the clear.

ZOMBIES

Final Story Mission (Mid-Season)

Operation Deadbolt must face the ultimate challenge in confronting the Entity in a terrifying new section of the Dark Aether. Use Aetherium launch pads to soar through the environment and keep away from the dangerous hordes of undead lurking on the ground. Prepare to abandon all hope as you make your way towards the climatic conclusion and the final boss.

Survive the narrative driven final Story Mission to unlock the conclusion cinematic and secure the first piece needed to access the new Dark Aether Rift.

New Dark Aether Rift (Mid-Season)

Stay alert for clues and work with the community to discover the path towards a lucrative and lethal Season 5 Reloaded Dark Aether Rift. This perilous challenge offers players a fresh way to experience the Dark Aether and awards the opportunity to earn powerful rewards, including permanent unlocks.

  • Disciple Bottle: Spawn a friendly Disciple to wreak havoc against your foes.

Call of Duty: Warzone

NEW POI: SUPERSTORE

Welcome to the Atlas Superstore, inspired by the original Superstore in Verdansk, and home to all your Call of Duty: Warzone shopping needs. Whether it be a rare weapon, a new perk set, a fresh set of armor plates, or some other coveted item, the Superstore has what you need to secure the win. Stay tuned to your surroundings as other squads are bound to heed the same shopping impulse.

Just south of the Orlov Military Base, Superstore is located in the upper central-eastern side of Urzikstan. Landing on the large roof from the plane or via redeploy is the quickest way to get into the Superstore. It’s a large two-story building with a good amount of cover via the skylights and air A/C units, but your goal should be to get inside as quickly as possible.

From the roof there are four different entry points, so find them and get through as soon as you can. You can also enter from Al-Sada Village via a zipline. However, from the ground there are more than 10 different entrances, so there’s always another way in nearby.

Once inside, if you’ve used any of the main entrances, you may have a moment of peace as you loot because of how large the Superstore really is. It feels even larger due to the many aisles and staff and storage rooms there are that make up the Superstore. Check every corner and keep your head up as you venture through the building because enemy players can be hiding in one of many locations built into this incredible POI.

Entering from the ground floor, you’re positioned in one of the corners which can be used as cover to protect your squad’s six, but also to breach and clear one quadrant at a time. Entering from the second floor, you’ll encounter an office or break room that overlooks a portion of the main floor. Use these angles to call a cleanup on aisle 4 while you loot to your heart’s content.

RESURGENCE MODES

Superstore Resurgence (Urzikstan, Launch)

Break in the new Superstore POI with a dedicated Resurgence mode. This is a custom-made experience focusing on the Superstore POI, dropping 28 players into a ten-minute match with the emphasis on who can control the roof and aisles and other chokepoints throughout the location. Compact combat, vicious firefights, and rapid pacing make this an instantly satisfying mode you can drop into again and again. This is also the perfect training ground to explore the classic area whether you’ve battled across these aisles before or it’s your first time browsing.

Supreme Resurgence (Rebirth Island, Mid-Season)

Supreme Resurgence is back! In this mode, Rebirth Island is filled with exceptional ground loot. This includes powerful meta-inspired Weapon Blueprints with cool camos; there’s a premium price for Loadouts, so obtaining these weapons is recommended. Experience these and other changes to the Resurgence formula including additional health for all Operators.

Plus, players who win their first match in Supreme Resurgence will unlock the “Spilled Beans” Weapon Camo.

NEW PUBLIC EVENTS

Bounty Contest (Resurgence Modes, Launch)

Prepare for heated battle when the Bounty Contest Public Event activates in Resurgence. When this occurs, every squad is instantly given a Bounty Contract to complete within the designated time. Eliminate the target to accrue kudos as well as some in-game cash, then move onto the next squad member, progressing until you’ve wiped out the whole squad. With every squad sent on a Bounty at once, expect fierce fighting to occur across the map. Squads going on a Bounty streak should also expect to rack up some serious money at a seriously quick pace!

Recon Flyover (All Modes, Mid-Season)

There’s no place to hide during a Recon Flyover, so get out there and fight. When this event is activated, two waves of Advanced UAVs highlight scanned Operators as red player arrows – with the recon zone shown as a red circle in your mini-map – and fly towards them. If you’re caught in this Recon, you will be exposed to other players. Use the intel to reassess your plan, seeking the best ground to engage imminent danger.

NEW FEATURES

Redeploy Drone Beacon (R.D.B.) Field Upgrade (All Modes, Launch)

Throw out a line when you need it using the new portable R.D.B. Field Upgrade. Once deployed, it can be used by the whole squad to evade incoming dangers, seek out new looting areas, or to reposition for a stronger attack.

Elite Contracts (All Modes, Mid-Season)

Complete Elite Contracts to earn a variety of rewards listed below. The Elite Contract is no easy task; the time given to complete one is reduced compared to a normal Contract. Providing you prove your mettle, an Elite cache drops into the AO, with Bonus XP, Cash, and one of the following:

  • Foresight Killstreak
  • Multiple Redacted Weapons
  • Specialist Perk Package
  • Advanced UAV

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile

OVERVIEW

It’s about to get rowdy as Operators battle to become the ultimate champion of Season 5 in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Prepare for a gauntlet of new content including multiple map updates for Verdansk, a new Multiplayer map and mode, weekly events, and shared Battle Pass and Bundles in sync with Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone.

Plus, look out for the no-holds-barred Round 2: WWE SummerSlam Event coming to Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile featuring limited-time rewards for devoted brawlers.

NEW MULTIPLAYER MAP

Meat (6v6, Core, Launch)

Gear up for the grinder as Meat joins the Multiplayer map pool. Players first deployed to this slaughterhouse in Modern Warfare III Season 1, a small map based in the Port of Oakland with tight lanes and a tiny meat locker at the center. The street and slaughterhouse hallway offer some mid-ranged views, but otherwise prepare for head-on combat.

VERDANSK MAP UPDATES

Season 5 brings some changes to the Verdansk landscape with new points of interest, including:

Zoo: A previously empty section of the Downtown Park is now the site of a zoo. Explore animal enclosures and other park amenities throughout the large attraction.

Train Wreck: Weave through the aftermath of a cargo train derailed by heavy vehicles. Search the overturned cargo for loot while remaining on the lookout for other scavengers.

Construction Site: Battle atop a new building being developed in Downtown. Only the top two levels under construction are accessible, by parachute or ascender. Bring a long-range weapon for the views.

Cliffside Base: A brutalist style military stronghold has been built into a cliffside near Dam. The interior of this POI will unlock later this season. Get a new perspective over the Airport from the two-story structure and seek out upgrades within its walls.

Government Building: Fight from the rooftop of a new government building in the Subhill area.  The interior of this POI will unlock later this season. Explore the interior for its high-quality loot.

Battle Royale: Practice Zone

Load up a dedicated practice space where you can test your settings with any loadout you’ve already created and try out new weapon configurations on respawning targets.  The Practice Zone is set on Rebirth Island with multiple players, who cannot damage each other, who are either random or friends you’ve invited to help to practice together.

NEW WEAPONS

Static-HV (Submachine Gun, Launch, Battle Pass Sector 6)

Levels: 18, Battle Pass Blueprint [Sector 17]

Bring compact lethality to the battlefield with this small SMG chambered in 5.7x28mm. The weapon boasts a high fire rate and significant ammo capacity with a base of 50 rounds in its factory magazine.

Like a bite-sized LMG, the Static-HV keeps on firing through even the thickest of fights. Overwhelm your opponents with a hail of fire and use Gunsmith to specialize in hip-fire, Tac-Stance, or ADS. Try different Ammunition attachments and test out various Muzzle and Barrel combinations to squeeze out the most out of this close quarters needler.

STG (Assault Rifle, Launch, Battle Pass Sector 7)

Levels: 21, Battle Pass Blueprint [Sector 19]

The rifle that heralded the age of the assault rifle as a global standard. Fully automatic and chambered in 7.92x33mm, this is a hard-hitting primary weapon.

That power results in a signature recoil pattern that though noticeable is easily controlled for accurate fire. The weapon’s high-quality iron sights potentially free up an extra attachment slot if you forgo an Optic. Fine tune your playstyle in Gunsmith with attachments like a 60 Round Mag and the recoil-reducing JAK BFB Aftermarket Part. However you build it, its powerful base ensures you'll come out with a reliable weapon.

Spear (Melee Weapon, Mid-Season via BP Sector Unlock and Challenges)

Levels: 6

Fight like the ancients with a throwable Spear built for the demands of modern combat. Three Spears are provided at each spawn; they throw fast and straight, with a reticle provided to account for various distances. Thrown Spears can be retrieved from the environment and at least one should be kept for the weapon’s rapid piercing strikes in close quarters.

Torque 35 (Launcher, Mid-Season, Weekly Challenge)

Levels: 6

Wield a compound bow with 20 retrievable arrows, a red dot sight for accurate shots on target, and a weapon inspection animation that shouldn’t be missed. The bow’s excellent handling allows quick follow-up shots and in close fights the option to fire off the hip keeps you light on your feet. Pull back for longer to increase the strength and velocity of each shot and get creative with an array of Ammunition options including arrowheads equipped with thermite, explosive, and gas cartridges.

Both the Spear and the Torque 35 can pin enemies against the wall, so stick your insertion points accordingly.

AFTERMARKET PARTS

Get attached to six new Aftermarket Parts being introduced in Season 5, usually unlockable via Weekly Challenges.

Warzone Mobile Connected: All Season 5 Aftermarket Parts are also unlockable throughout the season by spending Arsenal Coins in the Arsenal Store (Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile only), after which they can be used across all games.

JAK Widemouth Barrel

Compatibility: MORS Sniper Rifle [MWIII]

A widemouth barrel crafted to accommodate magnetic ball bearings that shatter upon firing, creating a barrage of small and lethal projectiles.

JAK Slash

Compatibility: Many Weapons with underbarrel capabilities

This underbarrel vertical grip doubles as a combat knife, replacing your melee attack with a lethal slash.

JAK Protean

Compatibility: RAAL LMG

This conversion kit turns the RAAL into a highly adaptable prototype weapon with a telescoping barrel that can be toggled between full-auto and semi-auto fire, offering suppressive fire and precision in the same weapon.

JAK Cataclysm (RPK)

Compatibility: RPK LMG

Command the battlefield with this .50 Cal conversion kit for the RPK. Slow yet powerful with a high-capacity drum mag, this kit is your enemy's nightmare.

JAK Devastators

Compatibility: Reclaimer 18 Shotgun

Dual-wield Reclaimer 18 Shotguns and become a mobile artillery barrage with this Aftermarket Part. Accuracy and recoil control are minimal, but destruction is maximized.

JAK Deathmarch

Compatibility: BAL-27 Assault Rifle

This Aftermarket Part replaces standard ammo with high-voltage power cells and the barrel with a photonic scatter barrel. Fire a spread of lethal laser blasts that take down enemies at short range.

NEW OPERATORS

Valeria Garza [KorTac, Launch]

  • Roving Adventure Skin: Instant Reward Sector
  • Death’s Medallion Skin: Completion Sector, Tier 100

El Sin Nombre never backs down from a fight, and she’s ready to prove that she can rumble with the best of them. Head into battle in sleeveless tactical gear or get dressed up for the championship fight with a black and red serape and skull mask.

Mami [KorTac, Launch]

The inimitable Rhea Ripley joins the fight as Mami. The Australian WWE Superstar arrives in her iconic spiked leather jacket and fishnet stockings, amping up the look with chains and studded garments.

Ivan [KorTac, Launch]

Operator and Skin: Sector 16

The ultimate infiltrator, Ivan Alexxeve served under Makarov and led the mission to break him out of prison. Ivan leads the Konni Group with his chemical explosive knowledge and ruthless aggression.
