Answers to frequently asked questions about Multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

The Multiplayer game modes in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare define your goals and your path to victory. Beyond that, they also heavily influence your choice of loadout. Depending on game mode and map, different weapons and equipment become more or less useful. Therefore, it’s important to tailor your Combat Rigs and Custom Classes to your preferred game modes.

The following answers frequently asked questions about the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer.

General Questions


No. There is no way to disable graphic content in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Yes. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare supports two-player split-screen online play in either Multiplayer or Zombies game modes.

Depending on the system you are playing on, different areas are available to play offline. On Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Multiplayer, Campaign, and Zombies can be accessed offline. For PC users, only Campaign is available offline.

No. Online progression does not carry over in Local mode and vice versa. Progression can only be continued in the mode in which it was started.


Multiplayer-specific Questions


Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer supports up to 18 players in an online game or 12 players in a LAN game.

In split-screen, up to two players can participate in a Local Multiplayer game or two split-screen players can join an online match (Xbox One and PlayStation 4 only).

Combat Rigs are specialized combat suits that offer unique weapons and abilities to personalize your experience on the battlefield. Each Combat Rig allows you to choose one of three weapons and one of three traits. It's important to remember that you can change a Combat Rig during a match, just like you can change a loadout.

Located in the Public Games menu of Multiplayer, the Quartermaster offers Common and Rare Supply Drops that can be purchased in exchange for Keys. You can also access the Armory, where weapon crafting takes place.

Keys are earned by playing public Multiplayer matches. They will be granted to you the more you play. Common Supply Drops cost 10 Keys and you have a slight chance at dropping a Rare, Epic, or Legendary item. Rare Supply Drops cost 30 Keys and will guarantee a Rare, Epic, or Legendary item.

Duplicate items it will automatically be transformed into Salvage. The amount of Salvage depends on the rarity of the duplicate item.

Salvage is used to craft special Prototype Weapons in the Prototype Lab. Once you have accumulated enough Salvage, you can use it to craft different Prototype Weapons. Prototype Weapons unlock in sequential order through normal level progression from Common up to Epic.

Salvage can be earned through Supply Drops, duplicate Supply Drop items, by dismantling Prototype weapons, or by reaching various Mission Team levels.

In Mission Teams, you choose specific team-based missions to complete in Public Multiplayer matches. Complete these missions with honors, and you will earn extra XP toward your Mission Teams rank.

Ranking up each Mission Team will give you rewards from that Mission Team, including Calling Cards, Camos, Emblems, unique Combat Rig customizations, and specific Prototype Weapons that are only available from the team you select. Available Prototype Weapons can be viewed in the Mission Team Depot in the Armory.

When you begin playing, only the JTF Wolverines Mission Team can be chosen, with three other teams locked. Leveling up your Player Rank unlocks new Mission Teams and new missions.

The Mission Team Depot is a collection of Prototype Weapons that can only be unlocked by leveling up the different faction teams located in the Mission Teams options.

The QR-M5TR Collection showcases Prototype Weapons that can only be unlocked in a Supply Drop or a Zombie Crate.
